Hi Jim,

How are you personally Jim? Now that disastrous bushfires are hitting Los Angeles.
We see it here on the news all the time and it looks frightening.

Are you still accessible for some advice?
My son's SSR starts on February 14, 2025.
His date of birth is: Feb 14 1992 01:18AM.
Coordinates: 52N20 4E51 (suburb of Amsterdam South) Netherlands

I cannot adjust the coordinates in astrodienst to get the proper map.
Solar Fire is limited with the map too.
For his birthplace Neptune is on Zenith and a bit further north Venus as well? Natal Pluto comes to the fore.
He also has t Moon- t Saturn unfortunately and perhaps to offset this it's best to go to the Sun line not too far in Germany?
He asked me to have a look not too far away. t. Jupiter is slicing through the western part of France, it's far away.
Would you have a recomendation?

Hi, Flo. Thanks for checking: We were in New Orleans for the lead-in and start of thr fires, landed in LA just after midnight Wednesday night, and got up at dawn to load ourselves, Kali, and a few things into the minivan to head out of town. Spending four days in north Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo hoping the air will clear some. (I have to be back at work Monday.)

The impact on the city will be horrendous and then we'll recover. With the Olympics coming in '28 the city has lots of motivation to get past this, rebuild, and put on a grand face. I suspect for a year or two it will be like the aftermath of the Northridge earthquake in some areas.

Regarding your son: I don't have easy access to a full computer, just watching off my phone. I have a computer and mifi with me but mostly we're places with little signal and living out of the car (minivan). I'll try to get back to this when we're in a stable place; if you see I'm back home and haven't answered, feel free to nudge me.

I got a few minutes of signal and looked at this in TM. Starting from birthplace, one wonders if Uranus could be moved to EP-a and Jupiter moved to Ascendant. (I haven't reread your post, but this is probably what you saw.) Astromaps only work well on my home desktop (complicated technical reason about how definition files are stored across computers), but from TM I can tell that Uranus is RA 51°01' and EP is RA 51°52', so going west 0°52' would make that exact (longitude 3E49). Keeping the latitude the same, Jupiter moves slightly closer but not much. Jupiter gets closer as latitude moves south. Let's find the latitude at 3E49 where Jupiter rises exactly:

40N00 +0°18'
35N00 -2°26'

Trying 39N30: +0°01'

I won't narrow it any further (though we could, with successive trial and error). We're looking for someplace close to 3E49 39N30. Unfortunately, that's in the ocean, but very close to Palma de Mallorca. Not close enough though, it actually throws things off a few degrees. I suppose we need to get back onto the mainland.

LATER: If western France is too far, then Barcelona certainly is. I wonder, though... could he fly to Denmark? Odense (on an island off the mainland) has Sun 0°14' off MC, Venus 0°23' off Zenith. The Moon-Pluto mundane square is close and - I would call this a great aspect, but not everybody would - transiting Uranus 0°02' opposite natal Pluto is foreground still. The foreground aspects are quite exciting. I think this could be a very eye-opening (and very pleasurable) trip - or, at least, the SSR year would be.

If all of those are too far, I can't find anything closer.
