A medevac private plane (a Learjet 55) carrying six people - two crew, two medical personnel, a young girl who had just undergone life-saving medical treatment, and the girl's mother - crashed immediately after takeoff in a fiery explosion in Philadelphia. One witness said the plane fell out of the sky like a lawn dart landing. The plane struck several buildings as it fell, setting them on fire.

Nobody survived. At least one person on the ground was also killed (and at least 19 injured).
