Tr. Venus Cnj. Sun/Moon Midpoint

Post by Venus_Daily »

Sep 03, 2016
During the past month or two, I have had an urge to be more domestic or romantic.I have been experimenting with baking and dessert making (not that I can eat any), in adittion to that, I have also set about in the field of perfume making as well as making distilled essential oils and enfleurages of more delicate flowers. So far so good, I have made some pretty complex stuff even though I am drained of energy all the time. I also purchased copies of the "Picatrix" and complete Key of Solomon to try perfume making at "auspicious times". I know that people usually make talismans and rings with this type of work, but a perfume could work well too as long as ingredients and elements are properly used. This has been a huge stress relief with school and with studying. Is this a manifestation of the short Venus Cnj Natal Sun/Moon midpoint? I guess my Solar Return Moon in Libra is also pushing things a lot quite early.

And of course, perhaps y reasons why I'm also interested to these things would be my Neptune-Venus transit and that I'm a Libra Sun haha. :)
I searched for "enfleurages" (because I liked the fanciness of the word  ) and was fascinated by the process. I was even more intrigued when you said that you're trying to find "auspicious times" for specific scent-making.
Just a few hours ago Moon and Venus conjoined partile and thankfully I was able to see the sabre-thin Moon close with the glorious evening star. It was a sight so beautiful, arousing feelings of femininity and beauty within me. The warm evening felt cooler.

I'm wondering whether did you make use of that period when Moon and Venus were conjunct to make any fragrances? (Even though it was around 4-9 am when that happened at Kingsville, your place)
I feel that if you did make some, specifically from Jasmines and/or Roses, it might turn out to be especially aromatic in a relaxing and maybe seductive way.
Indians associate Jasmines to the Moon [and at times to Jupiter] and its enticing fragrance to seduction. For Roses, of course, everyone knows that it's associated to beauty, love, and femininity, and all those three things are Venusian things.
Indians also associate white lilies to the Moon and white lotuses to Venus, but I'm not sure whether do lilies and lotuses have any fragrance in them. Hey, you're the perfume expert. ;)

If you would like it, I can list some of the flowers (and any other fragrant substances) associated by Indians to the planets from Indian almanacs that I have. I suppose you can assume Rahu to be Uranus/Pluto and Ketu to be Neptune, but I'm not so sure about that, especially for the things associated to them.

Thanks Jim, I have not been checking my charts lately, but when all this started I knew it had to be something Venusian.

I have Venus/Neptune/Jupiter making a hard aspect in my natal chart, so anything that allows me to express Romanticism makes me eternally grateful. Last night, we did have a conjunction in Virgo, almost partile over my own natal Venus. The downside is it's in the sign of its fall, "Astrological Magic" involves placing a planet on a major angle (ASC/MC), along with the moon and possibly sun aspecting the planet in question and while dignified as well. I can tell you that Venus in Virgo (the sign of it's fall) is not good for Venusian endeavors, it's very cerebral (over-thinking) where Venus just expresses herself as a matter of fact. The other factor of course, is that a lot of these rituals or magical work involve consecration of materials and sacred space, which I have yet to do with school and all.
It would be nice of you to list those things if you don't mind, thankfully, my mother has a friend that has access to different types of fresh flowers in bulk and the rest I can just get online.
It's funny that you mention Lotuses, I am going to purchase some Lotus oil soon. I sampled the white and pink ones, I like them both, so it's difficult to make a decision since they are so expensive.

Oh yeah, Venus is in her fall! Ouch, that is no good! Till Venus is in Libra then. At 3rd of October, your place, Moon conjoins Venus again in Libra and culminates around 3.20 pm CDT. Hope you're free then!

No, I don't mind at all — I was the one who offered to list it down in the first place!

So here are the flowers and some fragrant substances associated to each planets by Indians. Since Indians associated these, some of these flowers/substances below are commonly found in India. Not sure at your place however.

Sun: Pink lotuses, sandalwood (sandal's also somewhat associated to Jupiter)
Moon: White lilies, Jasmine, frankincense in general, but especially Indian frankincense made from the Boswellia Serrata tree.
Mars: Champak flower, related to the Magnolia, and the Frangipani/Plumeria. Bright red flowers in general. Some rare Indian herb is also associated to it but I can't find it's English translation. :(
Mercury: The Gloriosa Superba] or the flame lily. It's poisonous however. Other fragrant substances associated to Mercury are camphor and mints in general, but personally I believe camphor and mints are also Uranian because of their "fresh" smell and that camphor and menthol in mints are natural mental stimulants. Sounds like both Mercury and Uranus, if not Mercury-Uranus. Anything stimulating in general can be associated to Uranus I believe,
Venus: White lotuses, roses, cinnamon and cloves
Jupiter: Jasmines, especially the [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jasminum_auriculatum]Jasminum Auriculatum
. Yellow lilies. Sandalwood. Any yellow/golden flowers in general.
Saturn: Asian pigeonwings/bluebellvines, or any blue or dark blue coloured flower in general. Blue lilies too. Black sesame seeds (not sure whther it has fragrance though) and any other fragrant substances which are black at it's original form.
Rahu*: Orchids. Mustard seeds.
Ketu*: Red/pink lilies. Redwood. Any fragrant substance that has many colours on it at the same time, in it's original/raw form.

*For Rahu and Ketu, I'm not sure whether do the flowers and substances associated to them would apply to Uranus/Pluto and Neptune respectively or to the North and South Nodes respectively.

For Neptune, I believe any depressant/hallucinating fragrances would do.
Would Plutonian fragrances be fragrant in the first place? :P Cuz y'know, the Plutonian spirit of being different and unique from the rest haha.
