About 1:15 AM "local time" 6-14-2017, in West London, a 27-28 story apartment building in Lancaster West Estate in North Kensington, London a fire broke out. The building was engulfed in flames. At least 30 people have been taken to hospital. People were seen jumping from windows before the fire was extinguished about 5 AM, although it's still smouldering. This is the worst fire in London since 2009 when six died in a fire in South London.

Current news reports are saying "about 1:00 AM," so I'm guessing your 1:15 is pretty close - certainly close enough for main purpose (but keep us posted).

Using that time, and coordinates for London, we see Saturn just past MC as the main marker of the hour. Here are some basics for now:

London's charts have been crazy of late. We still have the Cansolar with Saturn on WP square Neptune at MC, Pluto medium-wide setting, etc. The Arisolar is primarily the Jupiter-Pluto square (which has had its political and geopolitical effect, but doesn't seem to be showing the fire). The Caplunar is pretty much the same.

Tonight's CapQ has Neptune square MC. Ah, but here it is: Transiting Mars just entered 2° orb of Capsolar MC (it's probably slightly closer on the west side). The CanQ puts ingress Saturn on Descendant (part of two parans, Venus-Saturn and Mercury-Saturn).

So the daily stuff (as is most common with fires) did indeed match the event.

PS - I just saw a BBC report that the first report of the fire came in at 0:54 AM. It surely started at least a few minutes before that, and even this time is going to put Saturn closer to MC when it started.

The death toll is now 12 for this fire. The scene was truly, majorly horrible, including people screaming through window panes and others dropping their children out upper floor windows in a desperate effort to save them. I don't remember if there was Mars-Neptune in the profile, but the descriptions feel very Mars-Neptune. (Some witnesses drew comparisons of the scene to 9/11.)

It is astonishing that only 12 people have died, though authorities expect that number will climb. (Others are injured badly, and still others are missing.)

The building was called Grenfell Tower. I'm sure this will become known as the Grenfell Tower Fire, and I'll change the original subject line accordingly.

Coordinates of the building are given as 51.5140N, 0.2158W. They give 0:54 as the start time. This page will probably be the catch-bucket for new details.

EDIT 2/19/18: Final death toll 71, with another 74 hospitalized. The fire took 24 hours to bring it under control, and 60 hours to extinguish it.
