The new SLR (Monday night: effective from Sunday night) is quite good, due to natal planets, which seem to run the show for the month. It occurs August 23 at (:59 PM PDT when I surely will be home. - The one concern is natal Neptune - you'd never see it without the mundoscope! - which zooms past the rest in a razor-thin finish. (Moon has a couple of malefic aspects but they're both background, hoping that minimizes their importance in the face of the close angularities.)

My Demi-SLR next Tuesday, September 7, at 7:22 AM PDT is the start of a run of mostly painful-looking SLRs and Demi-SLRs through the end of the year. (Fortunately, this one occurs under a positive full SLR.) I'll be at work when it occurs, so I'm setting this up for Century City (even though the difference is small).

Of interest: There are several PVP aspects. Are these valid in solunars? Sun-Jupiter is one. A little outside our PV threshold but close in orb are Mercury-Mars-Neptune.

I guess I forgot to post the new SLR, which came in Sep 20, 2021, 6:10 AM PDT, when I was already at work in Century City. (Elsewhere in this forum I've already written things that hit one after the other on Sunday as this SLR was coming into being.)

Something interesting is that this isn't really transiting Neptune on natal Moon: The closest aspect is transiting Neptune conjunct transiting Moon (being mundane, there is a difference between the two Moons: Natal Moon is 2°47' above Descendant). This means something a little different. Also, presuming PVP aspects work as well in solunars as in ingresses (there's no logical reason they shouldn't), this Moon-Neptune is benefically aspected.

When I relocate this to Memphis (where I will be during this SLR), it looks quite different, of course. Interestingly, this one has PVP aspects, too - they are quite rare but appear for both locations.

Jim, I don't believe any of the possible negative symbolism in the relocated SLR to Memphis will manifest since it set-up in LA. Keep us informed. IMO, I think the first couple of days in Memphis will be dominated by your very benefic SQ

I don't consider it all that negative since the only closely angular planet is Sun. BTW, the Demi (which also sets up in LA) is quite similar in Memphis, but with natal Sun (conjoined by Mercury) exactly angular, and more Mercury-Mars.

But I also don't have any sense of negative consequences. (For example: Afflicted Mercury foreground, but the plane is NOT going to crash <g>.) The aura of the new SSR is so powerful, I think it overrides everything.

OTOH, on the issue of where the SLR is effective, I have numerous examples of SLRs (mine and others') that set up one place and then one goes somewhere else during the term. Both of them work - the charts for both locations are usually quite powerful. Unlike solar returns, I think the lunars must be more adaptable and flexible (like Moon). Probably the most famous in my collection is JFK's assassination: The chart set up in Washington but its Dallas relocation had Mars square Asc 0°29' (as part of the famous Mars-Uranus-Pluto of that event). John Lennon famously was bouncing around western Europe looking for a place they could get married and famously landed and married in Gibraltar, where SLER Venus squared MC 0°06' among other things. Lee Harvey Oswald arrived in Dallas after his 11/1963 SLR setup and (among other things) it had Mars partile conjunct EP there. Martin Luther King wasn't in Memphis when his final SLR set up, but in Memphis chart chart had natal Saturn precisely on MC (part of his natal Mars-Saturn opposition, the two squared by setting Uranus-Pluto).

I see, the operating Sidereal Astrologer always knows best for themselves.

My last lunar return for the current thread will be my Demi-lunar on Monday, October 4, 4:51 PM PDT. I'll be home when it set up, because this is the first day of my vacation. I'll probably be feeling it from late Sunday. It's not a return of great consequence. (Natal Pluto and the Moon-Pluto opposition likely just mean I'm going away.)

The "discovered" mundane aspect of natal planets is a great example of how the natal planets need t be considered within the framework of the SLR's mundoscope. (These will be easy easy easy for everyone to see in Mikestar13's "Time Matters" software.) Natal Moon opposite Pluto is the one important aspect in the chart. (The non-foreground partile aspects seem to support that the "getting away" is pleasurable to reinforce travel etc.)

NOTE: I just saw that the Moon-Neptune does sneak it's way in. I'm still trying to figure out how to integrate PVPs into SLR methods, but - for a straightforward example - I just noticed Demi-SLR Moon and Neptune are, respectively, azimuth 269°43' and 88°42' (with Vertex-Antivertex azimuth being 270°-90°). So, they have a 1°01' PVP.

When I relocate to Memphis during this Demi-SLR, it becomes much more dynamic (with four partile angular planets), with a different focus. (I'm particularly curious how the enormously strong transiting Mercury conjunction with natal Sun will express. While I will be travelling, busy, and curious about a new area, this seems much more significant than that.)
