I grew up 100 miles north of Indianapolis, and one time went to the Indianapolis 500. (Friends owned a car dealership, had premium comp tickets, the race got delayed a day for weather, they couldn't keep their business closed the next day, they gave Dad the tickets.) We had first or second row seats near the finish line - perfect tickets.
It was 1967 (I was 12), and Parnelli Jones had a miraculous turbine-powered car that, from almost the beginning was way ahead in the race. Nobody stood a chance of keeping up. It got boring. People got up and started to leave - I'd guess at least a fourth of the people at the race left. Then, about three laps before the end, Jones' car blew a bearing and coasted to a slow stop. AJ Foyt, far behind him, zipped around the track, caught up, and won the race.
The race was May 31, 1967, beginning at 10:00 AM. I don't remember how long it ran, and can't find an end time, so I'll use the starting time for a focus on the day. As you can see, there is plenty of Pluto for the long-shot, lots of Uranus for reversals, enough Mercury/Saturn for the punch-line, and mixtures (as in any contest) of loss and glory.

I only looked for value for few select bets using AA rated birth times and professional bets known by the pros. But, when I learned (still learning) how to possibly apply SMA to sports betting, and started researching with AA rated timed births and mundane charts, I saw a clear % pattern: Uranus-Pluto is a major signature for major contests upsets. Uranus-Pluto combos make perfect sense for major upsets, and now I am beginning to believe when we see major Uranus-Pluto symbolism for betting purposes-- the long shot bet now could offer betting value with certain select bets.Since Steve likes charts for long-shot wins and reversals, let's see what we have on this one...
Back when I first hooked-up with Matthew who became my Sidereal Astrology teacher, I asked him what he deemed as the most important astrology he had witness for mundane astrology purposes. Matthew said without a doubt Bradley’s work with the rectified SVP and ingress charts. I asked Matthew how I could acquire the necessary reading material in order to seriously study Bradley’s work, and Matthew said it was only available with Bradley’s articles in American Astrology (AA) Mag. Matthew told me that the best Sidereal Astrologers wrote their research articles in AA from 1950. I immediately set out to acquire all of the monthly AA articles from 1950 which led me to New York but it was in the days when AA was becoming or had become a defunct publication. I worked out a deal with a NY firm to purchase all AA monthly articles from 1950 for $1,500. This goes to show how starved I was for sound astrological research, living in rural Alabama. I was going to drive to NY with a cashier check for 1,500 to acquire what I considered a bargain and was more excited than a child in a candy store. When I called the NY firm to make the final arrangements, I was told the price was $3,000 and I said f—k you and slammed the phone down so hard I broke the phone, I was being scammed but was told AA publishing rights and past issues was with this firm in NY. After this incident, Matthew told me you probably had all the AA issues with all the Sidereal Astrology articles but you were nowhere to be found. Then, years later, in 2007, you appeared with your forum and I suggested to you to teach Bradley’s mundane work on your forum. Now you have produced SMA.
Now, with our most potent Uranus-Pluto 2016 Capsolar, we have stood witness to the greatest political upset in the entire history of the Republican Party with Trump winning the nomination, and we still have the general election in front of us which is covered by this potent Uranus-Pluto Capsolar. I know nothing about the publishing business, but if it is possible-- someone needs to take all the Sidereal Astrology articles in AA and make it available on this forum for a fair price. I have no profit or copyright motives but would be willing to possibly provide all $ necessary to allow this to happen on this forum. I am clueless on the necessary steps and contact info to make this a possibility. If something is not done to preserve these AA articles for future serious astrologers, then we will soon be looking at the death of all the great individual work done my many Sidereal Astrologers who published their work in AA. These past AA Sidereal Astrology AA articles could provide great discussion and research potential for members of this forum.
