Scales: My SLR for 29th Jan 2017

Hi guys,

As I've mentioned in an earlier post in Steve's "Thank You Lord" thread (or some thread named similar to that), I'm going to have an SLR on the upcoming 29th of January 2017, 6:06:44 AM local time, in Klang, Malaysia as usual.
Here are the charts of my return and its mundoscope respectively:

ImageImage
My birth details are in the "Archive of forum participant birth data" thread.

Most-to-least angular planets (I'll list them in the angle they're most close if a planet is angular by two angles or more):
Jupiter 0°20' from MC
Pluto 1°04' above the eastern horizon
Uranus 1°55' after anticulminating
Mercury 2°07' above Ascendant
all of them measured in mundo.

No natal planets angular, but my SSR Mercury-Uranus opposition falls on the SLR's MC-IC/Zenith-Nadir axis fairly, but SSR Uranus may be partile on the IC. SLR Uranus partile opposes SSR Mercury.

I humbly request and would really like you guys to give in your input and insight on how this SLR may manifest in my life. I'm getting an idea of the theme of this SLR (change, most definitely) but hey, nothing's wrong in asking and getting some extra clarification.

To give a current perspective on my life, it's really mundane. Time is passing by in full speed but I'm oblivious to it, feeling literally nothing most of the time, at times depressed, rarely truly elated. I'm really inactive (especially physically and socially) and my lifestyle's repetitively sedentary. Just browsing the internet and doing astrology. Notice that I have Saturn and Neptune on my SSR angles.

Yes.
...The native may feel that kind of fatigue which is the forerunner of nervous breakdowns...
Yes, but not so much now, as I'm not as depressed as I was earlier this month, though I wasn't that frequently depressed to consider myself on my way into a nervous breakdown.
...He becomes petty in his ways of thinking by constant suspicions and jealousies, and frequently may even voice such wishes as that his enemies might die...
Yes, at times I get too passionate on petty jealousies and "revenge schemes" that I ultimately won't follow (not that I can if I want to) that have no true profound reason for me to be so. Now it's somewhat more in control.

I've finished my SPM exams last 30th November, and my results are only out later this March. To not waste my time staying at home (as my mother puts it, because as for me, I feel better at home than being in the outside world), I've been searching for a job since early January, but I haven't been selected to get into anything. My parents say I look weaker than ever and my father asked about my current virility. My virility is fine as usual, but since my dad asked about my bodily health since never, I actually got disgusted when he did. IMHO he should've asked things like those from me way earlier, like when I was 13/14 or something if he cared so much about me instead of my sisters. And it was my mother who made him ask me about it.
So yeah, my mother thinks my apparent weak-ness and lack of energy and sparkle in my speech made my possible employers to lose interest and trust that I'll be hard worker. Perhaps she's right.

Love is not the no.1 thing going in my life right now as it did during my last SSR, but yeah, my current SSR Moon aspects natal Venus (which is fairly angular at MC) so yes, I still have a need to be loved. But SSR Moon also aspects natal Pluto (which is also moderately angular) so I really have a need to get away from this country and start life afresh somewhere else, preferably where my SSR and future SSRs would be benefic and my natal benefics are angular. I don't think I'll like it to really be into the social life here at this time, not without coming out of my closet and everyone being comfortable about it. I actually feel like I would be back-stabbed and insulted by my school crush's friends (if not himself, though some his friends are really shitty people) and be harassed by them for being a homosexual. I'm afraid most of my friends now secretly know my sexuality because of them (my crush's friends) and I don't know what they (my friends) are thinking of me if they do know so. I'm thinking of this because my sister herself (which is from my crush's school year) sometimes makes shady remarks about my homosexuality, like "there're no cute guys in this TV show, why're you watching this?" in a somewhat homophobic tone. I'm somewhat afraid my SSR Saturn-Neptune's "removal theme" may manifest as me getting exiled from my country because of my sexuality, either by law or by the [predominantly, if not apparently] homophobic people here.

Most of my friends and classmates are in private colleges now (using their mock/trial SPM results) and my parents don't have the money to enrol me in a non-public/non-government university (public university semesters only start at June). (My parents are really broke and are hoping that I'd get a scholarship with my results when they get released in order to pursue higher education.) Some of my friends are travelling, and some are always having outings with other friends. Makes me yearn to be in their shoes (and yes, I'm somewhat jealous of them), but then again I didn't make myself any true close friends at school to go outings with or invite me in when they plan to.

I'd really love it to move somewhere else, focus on my ambition/further my studies and improve my life instead of being here and letting my past and insecurities possibly haunt me (Neptune on IC?) and ruin my future (Saturn on Asc?). Perhaps that'll happen when Uranus opposes my Sun later this April.

So yeah, what do you guys think of my upcoming SLR? Perhaps this could bring the change I wanted, but with Pluto, it could go either way, and therefore I'm really worried. From tomorrow till the 16th of February, Jupiter makes a brief semisquare transit to my natal Pluto, suggesting I'll get my much wanted/needed separation, though the transit orbs aren't too tight (closest Jupiter gets to exactly [0°00'] semisquaring my Pluto would be 0°52') as Jupiter will get stationary and will retrogress back into earlier Virgo, so I'm not sure how this transit will work out for me.

Yes it is! :D
Danica wrote:I have no idea what particulars might happen;
Me neither. :( Though if Pluto wasn't involved I'd consider this SLR to be benefic.
all I can say is: be open (-minded & -hearted), observe what's going on, be ready to recognize opportunities as they appear and don't resist the changes that life brings.
Thank you for your advice. It makes me feel better. :)

Yes I'm thinking of doing this too, the SLR falls on Sunday morning, which is a lottery day here in Malaysia. The lottery's results only get released later that night.
It's definitely worth a try, and I'm definitely not going to lose anything but a few Ringgit (that's the name for Malaysia's currency) for buying a lottery ticket at most. :P

Does anyone have anything else to say about my SLR? :)

So, here's what has happened during my SLR so far:

I've received two offer letters from two separate public colleges (Mercury-Jupiter-Uranus?), the first one had the "science" courses only for the bumiputras (i.e. the Malays and people from other indigenous tribes of Malaysia), hence I was disappointed and I didn't register as I was really not interested in the other courses available for non-bumiputras.

The second, which is in Malacca, had no science courses available, but somehow I was persuaded into choosing the Computer Science course (not my first choice), almost got into moving to there, thankfully my mother discussed her financial concerns with the college's General Manager, and we got to know that there were some catches here and there, especially if I choose to get enrolled in some other course offered by some other college/university later. My mother asked me if I'm okay with sticking to Computer Science. Obviously I told her that I am not, and she said we'll wait and see if I get any other opportunity after I get my SPM results later this 16th of March. I already had a hunch that there's something fishy with this opportunity. I mean it's a great one, and very consistent with my SLR symbolism, and I'll already have a job for me once I finish my degree, but I don't want to be a programmer! :(
For now, I seem interested in Biotechnology, English/journalism, and the arts.

I believe my Neptune-to-Sun sesquisquare transit is a strong reason why I felt uneasy and apprehensive with the opportunity. (The transit must've gotten highlighted since my natal Sun's fairly placed from my SLR's MC.) The standard interpretation said that my worries are exaggerated and that I can create a whole new reality, but I'm not sure would I be happy with the reality of being a programmer? Even my chart says I'm more creatively-oriented. (But yeah, that Moon-Mercury would definitely support me in going technical and scientific, the latter of which I indeed am, the former, I don't think so.)

Perhaps I indeed lost a great opportunity here?
Though later during the 18th of May, I have my Uranus-opposite-Sun transit partile on my SLR's horizon, so it means that I'll feel this transit strongly during that SLR's period, and hence it's possible that I may receive opportunities during this time as well. And May/June I believe is a time where most public colleges, matriculations and universities send offer letters to students as well. May is a bit late, but not too late.

--------------------

I tried buying lottery tickets but I didn't win anything as well.

On the flip side, I got my very first smartphone! That seems consistent with Jupiter-Uranus, or Jupiter-Uranus-Mercury. I know what you're thinking, it's 2017, and only now a 17-year-old got his first smartphone? Well, at least I got one haha.

It might also be a reason why you got a fishy offer. It sounds like this is an offer to train you for a specific job, perhaps paid for by the industry, because they need people with programming skills, and if you don't finish the course and work a few years in the job they offer you, you would have to repay the cost of the training. I agree with your mother, you should wait and see what else is offered.

Most people don't, but you can't win if you don't play.

Most kids here get a phone with texting and photo capabilities when they're old enough they won't lose it. A smartphone is something bought with money from a first job flipping burgers part-time after school, unless they're saving money for a car or they are given one as a graduation present.

I see. I used to have a basic texting and photo-taking phone before this too.

Most kids here either get smartphones when they've just reached their teens, or if their parents are stricter (or less able financially) then when they (the kids/teens) have saved the money for buying one.
My mother bought this one for me so that I can use it for contact and for college in Malacca. Yeah, it's a bit pointless now, but I'm gonna get a phone anyway, someday, most likely by myself.
Thankfully this medium-to-small sized phone I'm using is just about RM299 (~US$70) so it's not that big of a loss.

Some time between the ages of 0 till now, can you recognise them in your progressions?
Did grandparents or anyone close to you die (Saturn)?
Did you move or travel (Uranus)
When did your parents get married? get into trouble with their marriage?
When was the heightened Mercury period? Is that now, or was it possibly when you started school around the age of 6 or 7?

If the angles need rectification, then your LR's won't be quite accurate.

The main feature was that he got a significant honoring and opportunity - Jupiter on Sun on MC being the main feature of the chart - and other things easily tied in to the Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto structure in a Mercury direction (in this case, education).

His angles would have to be widely different (half an hour error wouldn't really do it, and that's a lot!) to change the meaning of this chart.

I was looking back into his SSR.
If his birth hour is a few minutes or even up to 15-30 minutes off, it matters in the chart as well as all returns.
It would mean that f.ex. that angular Jupiter might not be partile, but a little further out.
It would possibly mean that his SSR Saturn would not be within 3° from SSR ASC, but could possibly be further out than 5° and therefore not as heavy on him. I do not see him having Saturn so tightly angular this year. You do not have to agree with me, I just think it is worth exploring up to half an hour before and after recorded birth hour, it is interesting and lots of fun to explore possible rectification and there is a deep learning process involved.

Well, both are only as knowledgeable in careers and career prospects as the average member of the population. They are in general very open to my career choices, and they would like me to choose any career that I feel fit in, though my mother—being a Sagittarius Moon—had brought up the suggestion of being a pilot; mostly because of the monetary benefits of becoming one, especially if I become an international pilot. If I had to choose a career based on salary alone, then I'd choose to become a pilot as well. But I have no passion in becoming one (despite my Sagittarius Mars), and I don't believe that I'll handle an emergency well mid-flight (that is if I had already overcame my fear of heights and of being out alone and vulnerable in the open, though none of those fears are concernedly major).
She knows well that there's a surplus of unemployed pilots in this country (and that it takes an average of 2-3 years for a graduated pilot to get a job here), and also that it costs a lot for aviation courses, mostly around the RM300k range (~US$67k) which my mother could never afford unless she wins the lottery. Yet she seems optimistic that she may gain a small fortune sooner or later and she tries to keep me open to the idea of becoming a pilot.

My father didn't suggest anything for me.

...If the angles need rectification, then your LR's won't be quite accurate.
Well I've played with possible birth times before, but I believe my birth time's pretty accurate so far, even though my birth time (1.40AM) would naturally bring up some suspicion on to whether was it rounded off to the nearest five minutes.
I mean, just look at my 2015 SSR, my thread (in this subforum) of the SLR before I met my Dallas crush, and the thread (also in this subforum) of the SLR which made me have a sentimental dream—they all seem quite strikingly accurate, with partile hits. ;)
Arena wrote:I remember I asked you a long time ago if you can think of years connected to that Saturn, Sun, Mercury, Neptune and Uranus in a progressed chart.
Yes I remember that you asked, but I also remembered giving a caveat that my Libran memory doesn't help much in remembering past events, and with my angular Neptune that gives me a preconceived, romanticised view of my childhood, more so. Though it's very likely that I should have remembered any significant events of my childhood had they happened.
Arena wrote:Did grandparents or anyone close to you die (Saturn)?
Both of my paternal and maternal grandfathers died before I was born, but when I lost my paternal grandmother during mid-January 2013, natal Saturn was partile squaring progressed Ascendant.
Arena wrote:Did you move or travel (Uranus)
When progressed/natal Uranus was on my progressed descendant, I remember that it was a time where my family frequently took short vacations or trips during the school holidays, though not to some place too far, and no, I never moved. I still am in the same house I was in since getting discharged from the hospital after my birth. ;)
Arena wrote:When did your parents get married?
My parents were married on the 6th of December 1998, I was born on the 20th of October 1999. If I was born before their wedlock, I'd be considered illegitimate here I believe. And no I don't think they got married because they found out that my mother was pregnant. The gap between 6th December and 20th October is more than 10 months.
get into trouble with their marriage?
Well, I'm not sure whether I would have a second sister in the first place (born 4 years after my first sister was born on 2001) if my parents' marriage wasn't happy.
Arena wrote:When was the heightened Mercury period? Is that now, or was it possibly when you started school around the age of 6 or 7?
It's now, with r.Moon on Descendant and r.Mercury on Nadir (I don't see any Mercury symbolism in my progressed chart during ages 5-7). If anything, I'm ringing better to r.Moon on descendant, it's needs of nurture/love and the needs of being merged with a loved one are consistent with my Venusian 2015 SSR and my Neptune-to-Venus transit that just ended.
Arena wrote:can you recognise them in your progressions?
My childhood was rather "moderate", with neither significantly happy nor traumatic events, or at least, that's what it seems to me with my angular Neptune. Though my angular Neptune would definitely make me strongly react to traumatic/negative events.
Arena wrote:It would possibly mean that his SSR Saturn would not be within 3° from SSR ASC, but could possibly be further out than 5° and therefore not as heavy on him. I do not see him having Saturn so tightly angular this year.
Me neither, but I think the context of my SSR's Saturn-Neptune should be considered together, along with SSR Moon to natal Pluto as well.
This year so far, I've been living mostly "as a recluse"-ish, not getting too socially involved, and staying mostly at home like as if I'm still "in the womb" (the fact that I've finished my exams and waiting for my results seem to be a part of this). Perhaps the womb is a Saturn-Neptune idea as well as a stand-alone Neptune idea, as both Saturn and Neptune are about security and the need of not feeling exposed and vulnerable. I'm also somewhat less informed of news and current happenings.
Then, there's the lack of vitality (and seemingly, the lack of virility) in me which is also consistent with Saturn-Neptune, and earlier this January I've almost fell into a nervous breakdown.
This is what Bradley wrote for Saturn-Neptune symbolisms:
...more commonly is parasitic in effect, particularly where the health is concerned. It saps the body of its 'animal heat,' the emotions of their aesthetic ardour, and the mind of its quick-wittedness. The native may feel that kind of fatigue which is the forerunner of nervous breakdowns. He becomes petty in his ways of thinking by constant suspicions and jealousies, and frequently may even voice such wishes as that his enemies might die... a key-producer of neurotic symptoms. An effective keyword is 'worry'...
I relate to all of the quoted above, though not so much now, especially after my current SLR (probably because of t.Jupiter and natal Sun on SLR MC).

Even if I want to join Malaysia Airlines, from what I've heard, I need to know someone notable (or at least be an internationally-coveted pilot) for them to even consider of looking at my résumé. :P

I see.
And BTW, I know I'd too be one scrupulous pregnancy nurse when it comes to recording birth times (if I was one), even if I somehow am not into astrology—cuz it's just me being me haha.

good idea!

Scales, you can also do the Myer & Briggs test (online), and see to what direction/s it points.

Thank you JSAD for the very informative website and thank you Danica for suggesting the test for me. Both seemed fairly helpful in getting a clearer picture of my personality and intetests. :)

The careers suggested by JSAD's website all seem to revolve around psychology/counselling/anthropology/Human Resources, writing, creative writing (novelists, songwriters and poets), news reporting and such, most of which I indeed am interested in and have a feeling that I'll be a natural. :?
