Syria - looking ahead

Syria is in a time when most important ingresses are dormant. This makes for slowly changing circumstances right now.

The Capsolar, Canlunar, and Liblunar is dormant. So is the next Caplunar.

This means that the Cansolar is the only operative solar ingress, and the Caplunar is the only operative lunar ingress at the moment.

Syria's Cansolar has Pluto strongest, with more moderate angularities of Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus. It doesn't seem calm or stable, but its also such a mixed bag as to give no clear thrust to events. - The Caplunar has a strong Saturn and a token presence by Mercury. - Notice that the Mercury and Mars presences are consistent with war (or warlike activities), and the Saturn and Pluto - the strongest charts - are consistent with hardship and death. Not a pleasant time to be there. Then again, so single thrust from the charts alone.

The net effect of all of this is a rather banal balance of planets across the range of active ingresses. The clearest indication is that there is no Sun, Moon, Venus, or Neptune presence. The rest of the planets are mostly balanced, without any one or two standing out more powerfully than the rest. (On the scoring scale I use to aggregate these influences, all the other planets have a score of 2 or 3.)

The next Caplunar is also dormant. We don't get another new current until the Arilunar September 21. That's a bad one, with Venus-Saturn conjoined square the Ascendant, and Mars setting. On a mechanical mathematical basis, that brings Mars ahead of the other planets in overall strength (Cansolar + Arilunar), and of course speaks of fires in particular and general hardship, destruction, and even death overall.

This is superceded by the September 29 Canlunar. The main feature is Uranus less than a degree from the Midheaven. That shoots Uranus way ahead in score (6 points between Cansolar and Canlunar), with Pluto right behind. It's a Uranus-Pluto period with Jupiter as the third planet - but that's primarily Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto. This chart looks seriously like regime change. (A little Sun and a little Moon stir the pot.)

The October 6 Liblunar then reinforces Mars strongly. Mars is less than 2° from the Ascendant, with traces of Venus and Saturn in the foreground. Ah, but it's stronger than that: Venus is 8°50' west of the IC, and Saturn is 7°12' east of the IC, so their midpoint is only 0°46' from the angle. It's the Arilunar all over again, with Mars stronger. -- Adding this chart to the ongoing mix (which, at that point, will include the Cansolar, Canlunar, and Liblunar) leaves Mars as chairman for the week (rising in the Liblunar) and an overall score of Uranus 6, Mars and Pluto 5 each. It's explosive (and has the Venus-Saturn aspect to further characterize the effects).

Another Caplunar comes into play October 12. It has an interesting mix. Sun is 1°25' from the MC. Pluto is 4°06' from the Ascendant. Jupiter is 2°13' from the Westpoint. Sun squares Jupiter 0°13'. The head of state is clearly in focus, though characterized by a Sun-Jupiter aspect. (Think Pearl Harbor, though, on the Sun-Jupiter!) Although the Sun (and its aspect to Jupiter) is the strongest aspect, the cumulative strength of planets in the Cansolar and Caplunar. If regime change was set in motion before, this chart is a possible throne-toppler.

Then the Liblunar comes along October 18. Its only significant feature is the Sun rising less than 2°. Again the focus is on the head of state. Otherwise, it shows government in resurgence. (By this point - between the Libsolar and the Caplunar - the Sun is cumulatively the strongest of all the planets.)

The October 19 Arilunar is dormant. The October 26 Canlunar has Mars 2°03' from the MC opposite Neptune 6°05' from the MC. Unpleasant at best! Panic, terrorism, fires mark the time. The cumulative planet count by then is Sun 6 points, Mars and Pluto 5 points each. There is violent, confusing turmoil within the country. The chart stack resembles those for the death of a head of state.

The November 2 Liblunar is dormant. Matters crest under the Canlunar (which covers the fortnight starting October 26).
