Brad Grey died Monday (5/14/2017) from cancer, at a young 59 years of age. I know people who knew him well, and they didn't have a clue he was sick. We knew he had recently left Paramount in response to a several year downward spiral, but his reputation was strong and Hollywood was waiting to hear what he'd do next.

After a career reinventing the nature of talent management in Hollywood, he became head of Paramount Pictures. He had some great successes, but none lately, and he and Viacom had a parting of the ways in February IIRC.

He was born December 29, 1957, in New York City, hour unknown, with Sun in Sagittarius and Moon in Pisces - a classic presentation of his career. Moon probably trined into a Venus-Uranus opposition. Mars squared Pluto. A partile Mercury-Jupiter sextile marked his business acumen and his ability to turn a handshake into a deal.

One might guess that the just-separating Mars-Neptune square in space (20° Taurus to 19° Aquarius when he died) figured into his chart somehow, perhaps has his natal or local angles. There are almost no noticeable transits, and none at all that seem relevant to his death. (If he was born at noon, his progressed Moon was 16° Taurus, so it could have been as simple as a ~6 PM birth with Mars-Neptune on his progressed Moon - pure speculation, of course).

Progressed Sun was trine natal Sun - hardly an example of a "happy sextile" when it marked his dismissal from Paramount and his fading vitality and death. I suspect it brought a sense of "life conclusion." Progressed Mercury trined Neptune, not unusual for such a death; and it squared his natal Mars (he perhaps got the news a year or two ago when it opposed his Pluto?).

6 PM is interesting, as a speculation, since it not only puts the Mars-Neptune on his progressed Moon, but near his LA local angles and on the angles of his final SLR.
