The issue here is
autonomy, which often turns into struggles against authority. (That's actually the main life-theme of Saturn anyway; but here we had Mars and Double-Rim.) You can work out the long development yourself, but basically it means that, from infancy, she instinctually wanted to be self-sufficient and infants just aren't capable; so, depending on what kind of parenting she had, she came up with an infantile coping method. Now, given her Venus, it just might have been to charm her way through! - Generally, Saturn's youthful tactics toward authority are to be debased before it, or to rebel against it, or to try to identify with it and become the authority, or... lots of things. "Be Dad, or Kill Dad, or Be Better Than Dad." (Or maybe Mom.) Then, moving through young adulthood, there is either the highly obedient or the seriously acting out. I actually think she had some serious impulse control issues, and only her smile got her through.
Double Rims get in more trouble with themselves and others than any other typel. They live on the rim of the wheel - on the surface - and their worst trait is probably lack of depth or deep penetration into theirt own motives. And Capricorn has a glib slickness that slides right past disclosing anything about themselves - magnificient story-tellers who, whoever, usually tell you nothing at all about themselves.
At least, that's the general case. And your mom's chart, with the Mars-Neptune opposition square Uranus, has even more likely poor impulse control - aggressive and daring pursuit of her fantasies and indulgencies - and yet, as Danica said, some real power which comes from the ability to practically telepathically compel people into going with her enthusiasms.
Her Venus is exactly angular - in mundo it is onoy 1' from the Descendant! And it is half a degree from my own Mars, so I'd like her phone number. (I'm joking.
But with a double Cap, I had to joke. Which reminds me - she probably has a fantastic sense of humor and, generally, the ability to entertain and even enthrall people.)

The big transit issue right now is Saturn's square to her Sun-Moon. Read the transits section for these. Also Neptune opposite her Pluto.
Exactly today she has a progressed Moon-Pluto opposition, so some kind of confrontive impact is likely. She's just coming out of two years of progressed Venus opposite natal Jupiter.
