Reno Air Show Crash

You may recall the horrific Reno Air Show Crash that occurred Sept. 16th 2011 at 4;14 pm PDT. "Mustang crashes into stand of spectators killing 11 people and injuring 69".

Being a fan of Garth Allen and his take on Cardinal Lunar Ingresses, I decided to do some research with the Aries Lunar Ingress. (Sept. !5th, 2:05 am PDT)

Chart: L.S.T. 0:41:25.......Mars 0:44:08 (ASC)......Saturn 1:05:19 (IC) = a very good description of this tragic event.....Uranus 0:12:15 -8 deg.off MC

Event Chart: L.S.T. 14:56:58.....Moon 14:41:25 (IC)......Mars 15:19:16 (DESC)..... .

Cardinal Solar/Lunar ingresses are always worth checking out for major catastrophic and other dramatic events of note.

Happy Holidays,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Interesting AiresLunar with its symbolism. I also note, mundanely, Mars is partile conjunct the Aireslunar’s Asc.and the Aires Moon ingress is placed at the chart’s zenith, an accentuated position. I have not done much work with sidereal ingresses, but I have already seen enough proof with these sidereal ingresses, to make sure I consult these ingresses before making important travel plans. Thanks for posting this event.

Here is the chart for that Arilunar.

As mentioned twice above, the main event is Mars rising. Though slightly more than 1° by longitude, the in mundo distance is only 0°28'.

As a lesson in what does NOT work in these charts... generally one shouldn't overdo (and maybe shouldn't even pay attention to!) trines and sextiles, and to such things as midpoints to the Eastpoint (which isn't a real point so much as a way of eye-balling where the square to the MC in RA would fall) - In this case, there is a partile Mercury-Jupiter trine that would have been counter the symbolism of the chart, and its midpoing at 15 Gem 18 falls within a degree of the Eastpoint.

A mundoscope for the crash itself has Mars 4°14' abovethe Descendant, and the Moon 6°58' east of the IC.

One other thing: There was an accumulated piling of the same symbolism here, beginning at least a week earlier with the Caplunar, the master chart for the month. In the Caplunar (September 7, 5:06 PM PDT), the Moon and Mars were also opposed across the horizon, but not so closely. But the Caplunar Ascendant was 3°20' Capricorn. Transiting Mars at the time of the crash was 3°48' Cancer - which is very close! - but mundanely is even closer, since it set when the Descendant was 3°14' Cancer, only 0°06' off the Caplunar Descendant.
