SQ for LibSolar Ingress Brings Solar Mars to the MC.
While tr. Mars 1AQA08 partile opp. Solar Moon 0Leo22!
Solar Mars 29SCO20 partile square SQ EP 29AQA16.
Solar Moon 01LEO22 partile trine SQ MC 1SAG11.

With Solar.Mars on SQ's MC plus tr. Mars opp. Solar Moon the threat of violence is
more likely to manifest than if only one Mars aspect was involved.

Can imagine trying to relax with an espresso on Champs-Elysées these Parisian tension filled days!

Are you calculating these by apparent solar rate instead of mean? I ask because it's several degrees off what I get.

The Libsolar October 18, 2014, 12:01:31 PM CEDT, Paris, progressed by Q2 rate with a mean solar argument, gives an MC of 25°26' Scorpio, about 4° from Mars and more than that from the MC you show.

On the other hand, the LibQ for the mean rate does have progressed Moon at 1°12' Leo (essentially what you said) with transiting Mars exactly opposite it. Good catch. This is a minor quotidian, acknowledged as being valid but rarely active enough to routinely check. This time was certainly an exception! Thanks for pointing it out.

The whole event was examined by the usual techniques here viewtopic.php?f=39&t=3821 (I wish you'd just added this to that thread). For the Capsolar and Cansolar and their quotidians it was, again, especially the lunar aspects that were most interesting: t. Pluto is opposite Capsolar Moon, and t. Uranus conjoins (and t. Pluto squares) CanQ Moon. In terms of angularity, the CapQ had Neptune angular, and the CanQ had Mars, Saturn, and Venus. (The closest of all was t. Mars 0°12' from the CanQ MC.)

Let me try to reconstruct this.

Libsolar Sun RA 203°07'
t. Sun RA 288°11'
DIFF = 85°04' = 5:40:16
Decrement by 9.86 sec/hr (subtract 56 seconds) = 5:39:20
Add this to Libsolar time 2014 Oct 18, 12:01:31 PM CEDT to get 2014 Oct 18, 17:40:51 CEDT

A chart for this time has MC 0°06' Sagittarius. Yup, this is the Neo-SQ you've presented.

Jim, you were the closest to Bradley’s work. Did Bradley spend a lot of time testing the Neo-SQ rate?

If memory is serving me today, Star Age has presented other Neo-SQ rates with valid symbolism.

He strongly disavowed it. The apparent solar rate failed him, compared to the mean rate, in study after study.
