Tr. Sun on MC symbolizes the Pope's spiritual leadership and influence on this
historical day. I'm not religious but think the Pope is a pretty cool dude!

Also..Pope's natal Sun 2-3 deg Sag. conj. E.pt 4-5 deg Sag. together with tr. Sun in SLR...holy moly!
Sagittarius Sun is known for religious leaders and philosophers.

Yep, that culminating SLR Sun offers par-excellent symbolism for being in the spot light illuminating his religious (benefic) purposes with Jup square Asc. Also that Jup reflects the honor he was receiving.
