Gleadow and Firebrace published Sun-sign distributions of the 7,354 medical doctors listed in the 1925 edition of The Medical Who's Who, births falling between 1832 and 1903. Correcting these only for astronomical distribution expectancies, I get the following (which is less impressive than the more sophisticated way they published the figures):
Although Gemini, Leo, and Aries are the most anomalously high, the only significantly strong result was the very low occurrence of Cancer (< .02). Cumulative Chi-square was low.
