Potential business partner
Potential business partner
So, I've just met this guy here in Edinburgh and we clicked from our first meeting. We seem to think alike on what we are wanting to do for business and on other unrelated things as well.
So of course I checked out our synastry, although I don't have his exact birth time, I know he is born on June 24th 1989.
What I found most interesting as business aspect is that his progressed Jupiter comes into my Venus-Jup/Pluto T square, so as our Jupiters oppose each other with just over 1 degr orb.
His n. Jupiter sextiles my n. Mars.
His n. Sun-Uranus opposition is on my natal ASC/DSC angles.
His n. Mercury is on my rel. ASC.

Re: Potential business partner
Over the '70s and '80s, I did a lot of watching secondary progressions in Synastry, with high expectations that weren't met. Admittedly it wasn't in business relationships. There would, for example, be someone I knew, maybe already seeing, and I'd see her progressed Venus squaring my Mars a few months a head and her progressed Moon aspecting my Sun at a particular point, and thing there was a chance of escalating things... and it rarely panned out. Even in long-term relationships, where one gets to study the ebb and flow of all sorts of interactions over the years, I haven't been able to see (outside of my own wishful thinking) that one person's progressed planets form new meaningful synastric connections to another's charts.
Looking at his planets around your chart, I notice several wider contacts that, nonetheless, seem of some importance. An obvious one is his Sun (also his Uranus) 3-4° from opposite your Jupiter (and then just a little wider to Venus and a little closer to Pluto). Sun-Jupiter is a great aspect for business partners, with mutual prosperity, mutual respect, and reciprocal support being a strong component of the aspect. Sun-Pluto carries the advisory that the Sun person often gets up and leaves abruptly - I'm pretty sure it's because they (usually unconsciously, sometimes consciously) get that the Pluto person is trying to change them into something they currently aren't.
There aren't a lot of other contacts. Because of the way your natal scrunches stuff together near the horizon, I'm sure his Sun, Jupiter, and Uranus are within quite small orbs of your horizon, and his Sun-Uranus (in any case) is on your horizon. He impacts your psyche almost archetypally as a "hero," an ideal that engages your imagination and shows new possibilities and opportunities. It would be much preferable to have his time, of course.
He seems (as best we can tell) a decent and interesting fellow - innovative, thinking, resourceful. He's a Gemini-Aquarius with a partile Sun-Uranus opposition. I keep looking to see if I've missed some way his Saturn-Neptune is hitting your chart, and haven't seen it yet - that would be one to avoid. One balance in the charts is that your Double Rim is likely to get things done - make things happen - move things along - whereas he (as a Spoke-Hub) seems to thrive more in the ideas possibilities than in actually being focused on making something happen. (I know which of the two of you I'd pick as managing partner <g>.)

Thanks Jim for your insightful comments.
I think you are right, we have a bit different personalities even though we think alike, after just knowing him for a very short while he seems to put a lot of energy into networking and communication. I can see that as an asset since the network might be very important for me to get into. He does have ideas and plans, but I think you are right in saying that I am the drive, I will be the one getting things moving and happening. That's just me being me :')
Yes I noticed the same contacts you mentioned, but also the Mercury on my rel. ASC as well as his Saturn-Neptune quinc my Sun, which worried me a bit.
But must say that I do not look at him as a hero at all, I think that I am the "stronger" one in this relationship. Older with more experience and drive to get things done and lots more money... but I just like him and I think we might be able to do good things together and getting into a Scottish network is good for me.
PS. About progressed charts, I found this book and research on progressed Sun-Venus aspects playing a big part in people getting married quite an interesting read:

Re: Potential business partner
Ok, so we are moving fast together and we seem to be in sink with our ideas. He comes from a deprived background and is very open to sharing it all with me. He is trying to work his way out of that.
I asked him for his birth time and he says it is 22.11.
So this is his chart.
Not only is his Sun-Uranus right on my ASC/DSC, but my Moon falls right partile on his IC and my Mercury partile squares his MC.
We are now moving forward to make offers on the two small hotels, and then possibly acquire more businesses or properties next year.

If you are interested, take a look at his SSR that just started last month!
SSR Pluto partile SSR MC, falls right onto my n. MC thus Jupiter is just about to square us both in a couple of weeks from now! Seems like we might actually succeed getting those deals done
ECSTATIC!

Re: Potential business partner
A bit interesting how things are developing. It is, of course, difficult for me to decide who to work with in a new country - although I can try and use other people's network to ask who comes recommended.
Sometimes I also feel I have to rely on my instincts, how I feel around the person. But then I also turn to astrology to see how they fit into my chart
Anyway... we are now reaching out for consultants to help us structure our proposal so that it is solid.
Spoke to one this morning that I grew an immediate liking to as he seems solid, down to earth and seems to know what he's doing (been doing this for 20 yrs). So, of course, I look up his birthday. He turns out to have very important connections to my chart. His Moon in Aries partile sq my Sun with his Mars in Scorpio partile trine my Sun. His Sun at 6,21 Pisces is opposing his Jupiter at 6.54 Virgo which is conj Uranus at 7.43 Virgo and this opposition is right on my Venus-Jupiter/Pluto T-sq. Interestingly his Mercury in Aq. is partile conjunct my business partner's Moon.
This is getting even more interesting
PS. My only astrological concern is that my partner's Saturn-Neptune conjunction is sq this consultant's Moon and quinc. my Sun ...but I've decided to not focus on that when so many other factors are promising.

Re: Potential business partner
Is a bank going to be used for a loan with this possible business venture?
Re: Potential business partner
No, our offer will be based on the vendors acting as lenders, at least for the initial 5-10 yrs. Possibly for the whole term. We will have the title of the property and business, but they will have security in having first claim, so they can repossess if we would not pay.
Why do you ask Steve?

Back in the 70’s, I use to play a-lot of poker with a president of a bank. One night we were having cocktails at a bar and I asked him what was the single most important thing to do before applying for a business loan, and he told me a bank wants to see a professional written business plan before seriously considering a business loan. Most small business people don’t know how to write a professional business plan. One of the best options for securing a professional business plan is to pay an economics professor at a local college to write a professional business plan. Why do you ask Steve?
Re: Potential business partner
Yes, we wouldn't apply for a commercial business loan unless we have a solid and well-written business plan. But we are hoping that won't be until 10 yrs down the line at the earliest.
We are having both an accountant and a commercial solicitor help us to formulate our proposal/offer.

Re: Potential business partner
Ok, so as you guys may remember I did actually partner up with this guy and we started our joint company on August 15th this year. We have been very active in seeking different kinds of deals and are finding that they do take time And me being very impatient, well I am learning more patience
Turns out we are very similar in many ways, in our attitudes and ideas - and I think that has to do with us both having such a strong Uranus. We are also connecting on a friend level and family level, so it is bigger than business only.
We recently signed (Nov 6th) our first small deal and have already received our first booking for that place ... so we are finally seeing progress even though it has taken some time and lots of efforts and energy to get there.
We have also been offered to partner up with some others who have access to huge sums of money and construction companies to build housing. Very interesting journey we are sharing, this business partner and I, which I think might actually lead to us building a block or blocks of rental apartments. And even though it is going to take a long time to get there, maybe a year or two, I am just sooooo enjoying this journey and meeting all the people involved.

Congrats!
On the issue of patience, I chuckled when I read "a long time." I assumed you meant 10 years. I consider 2 years a normal business startup time

Re: Potential business partner
To carry on with this story, this guy's childhood friend is now in our circles - has access to millions of potential investment/funding money and has access to his brother who has been a developer for 20 years. I met this friend a few weeks ago and there was an instant liking between us. So we met again this week to catch up and see if we can work together with him. Since I also felt this instant liking with the guy and have a feeling we are actually going to work together, I, of course, checked his birth chart (without birth hour though) and found out that he and I have some pretty important synastry aspects.
My angles: his Neptune on my DSC
He has Sun in Aries, although it is not on my Moon, but perhaps has similar energy to it. His Sun widely squares my Sun.
His Moon (if born close to noon) is sextile my Moon, sq my Saturn and quinc my Mercury.
His Mercury is on my AX and is trine my Mercury (hence the ease of communication I guess) while his Jupiter at 18 Pisces is opposite my Uranus and trine my Sun. His Uranus also conjuncts my Jupiter within 3° while his Venus is opposite my Pluto and square my Venus&Jupiter.
His Saturn is opp my Saturn and trine my Mercury. His Pluto square my Sun.
Well, like I said, I am enjoying this journey and I love meeting all these new people.

Hahaha, well I guess we measure time a bit differently and we might have been given very different proportions of that thing called patience
PS. My business partner recently described my drive to be somewhat of "a force of nature" and that he could hardly keep up with me, even if being 17 yrs younger
