2:30 AM Central Time, July 1, in Little Rock AR
Off-duty police had been hired to police the parking lots and entrance of the Ultra Power Lounge on 6th St. in Little Rock during a concert, I believe hip-hop. Several supporters of the main performer attempted to enter openly carrying weapons shortly before 2AM but were stopped. It is believed they were let in another door out of sight of officers. Approximately 2:30AM shooting began. 28 people were hurt, 22 by gunfire, 4 or 5 in critical condition, only 2 still critical. All are expected to survive.
This was believed to be a continuation of disputes between rival groups that the mayor and police chief carefully didn't call gangs. The youngest victim was 16, the oldest 35. Not a act of terror.
The business has had it's liquor license suspended and has been served with an eviction notice. The mayor is looking for ways to crack down on use of guns, such as making gun carrying a violation of probation subject to immediate arrest.

Little Rock's solar ingresses have a similar mix of Sun, Uranus, and Pluto as the East Coast. I don't want to over-emphasis this, but it's an 'easy catch" for eruptive, disruptive, surprising circumstances.

The Caplunar has the Moon-Uranus square angular: Uranus square Asc and Moon on Dsc are the closest angularities. A Moon-Jupiter mundane square (62') needs to be factored in. (They went out of the way not to call them "gangs," but this has the feel of turf, neighborhoods, "my kind vs. your kind.") The flowing-through Arilunar resembles all of this, with the strongest influence being Pluto (0°01' sq. MC for the center of Little Rock).

The CapQ leaves little to the imagination:

July 2, 2017 hour unknown, Al-Wafa, Iraq

A suicide bomber "detonated a device in a camp for internally displaced people" in Iraq, killing 14 and wounding 19 others. ISIL has taken credit: Iraq is very close to driving ISIL out of its last significant stronghold in Mosul.

Al-Wafa is described as 37 miles SW of Ramadi by one source, and 30 miles west of Ramadi by another. I'm still looking. A close estimate of the location is obtained by reducing Ramadi's longitude half a degree, rendering it 34N12, 43E24, and using BAT. No time is available, so we can estimate noon.

Regionally, this also looks like a "last hurrah" for the Cansolar. As the Capsolar is dormant, the Cansolar (less than two weeks from expiring) has been the acting Year Chart. Its primary feature is a Sun-Uranus partile square on the angles, though a Mercury-Venus conjunction also rises.

Narrowing to the quarter, the Arisolar has marked the area as violent - no surprise (the whole country is violent). Mars is 2° from Descendant as the strongest factor, joined by a close, foreground mundane square of Moon and Neptune.

Lunar ingresses only show the chaos and emotional reaction of an angular Neptune. (If this occurred before about noon, it was Neptune on IC of the Canlunar; if after noon, it was Neptune setting in the Liblunar.)

Inappropriately, yesterday was the day transiting Venus squared Capsolar Moon everywhere in the world. Zeroing in on Al-Wafa, CanQ Ascendant conjoined transiting Mercury and its MC squared transiting Sun - mostly neutral factors which, at most, cast a spotlight on the location and show tactical events (a minor hit for the executed suicide bombing). Really, there is nothing to time the day among the primary techniques. (I haven't checked the less reliable AriQ and LibQ.)

July 1, 2017, presume 0:00, Augusta, ME

Maine's governor, in the absence of a new budget, declared a state of civil emergency and shut off all nonemergency governmental functions. The order was signed Friday, so I take the shutdown to be effective at the stroke of midnight Saturday.

Maine has been running not only without a budget, but without a Year chart. Both the Capsolar and Cansolar are dormant. I don't know how much of a legislative fight there has been, but the Arisolar is marked by Mars square Ascendant.

The lunar ingresses have been mostly off-duty also, with the one active one being the opposite of the Arisolar. It is the Arilunar from June 19, and (in addition to the ubiquitous Moon-Uranus this summer) has Venus on Midheaven. It's hard for me to think that this will be too persistent a shutdown or have excessive impact, especially since this chart is inconsistent with having the state parks closed over the July 4 holiday; but, so far, no movement has been reported.

But the short-term effect is shown. CapQ Asc for Augusta brings Ascendant to square Capsolar Mars, on line to cross Saturn by today. The CanQ completes the malefic set by having Neptune on EP.

The New Jersey state government shut down as of Midnight Friday, June 30, 2017. That includes state parks and beaches. However, Governor Christie, knowing he's not getting re-elected anyway, took HIS family to one of the shut down state beaches, claiming it was ok because there's a governor's residence there.
The problem in NJ is the governor won't sign a budget bill, wanting to imitate Gov. Brownback of Kansas and cut taxes to the point of bankrupting the state, and the elected state congress, which has enough Democrats it can't just be shoved through, won't do it.
Le Paige of Maine is doing the same thing for the same reason except he didn't shut down the state parks because he learned from the Republicans shutting down the federal government.

Don't know what made the police choose to move in, although protestors were told not to cover their faces with black masks. 8:05PM, bricks started to be thrown at police and there are running street battles going on.

As the incident began, Moon and Saturn were rising in Scorpio, with the Mars-Pluto opposition across EP-WP, It was a volatile moment. Saturn exactly rose at 8:05.

As mentioned the other day, the same factors make Hamburg volatile right now as make it promising. The Capsolar, for example, has strong Uranus and Pluto (but also Jupiter and Sun), so my ever optimistic self hopes for breakthroughs and, along the way, I'm not surprised to see breakdowns. (The Arisolar and Caplunar are similar.)

If this escalates, it becomes a very interesting example in the Liblunar which, though dormant. has a variety of Mars-Pluto mundane opposition in azimuth, i.e., right along the prime vertical. That would be quite consistent with radical violence. - The Canlunar flows through, having only the close Moon-Uranus square on angles.

The CapQ has only ingress Sun on an angle. This does make the crowd hyper-aware of government and leader presence and impact, but is otherwise neutral (and could be indicative just of the meeting of leading solar figures). Transits to Capsolar angles lean positive but certainly are primed for shifting the status quo: Jupiter transits Capsolar Asc (1°14), Sun squares Ascendant (< 2°, and square Jupiter), Pluto conjoins Capsolar IC (0°40').

The one violent indicator is that transiting Mars exactly conjoins Cansolar MC - and by "exactly" I man 0°01' for the center of Hamburg.

In a household with five children, four of them (ages 2 to 10) and their father were slain by stabbing. Police believe it was by their mother. The fifth child was injured with stab wounds. The deaths were discovered just before 5:00 AM July 6.

Understandably, police and media are discussing this crime in the most horrified tones. There is indications the mother had become psychologically unstable, with "bizarre" behavior and hallucinations after her father's death 20 days earlier.

I'm going to use the approximate time of discovery as the time of mass-mind impact. The crime was surely not long before.

Yesterday, the ongoing Alamo fire in north Santa Barbara County and southern San Luis Obispo County exploded in size and concern, rapidly leaping from 500 to 3,000 acres in size. With temperatures in the 90's, mandatory evacuations were ordered and enforced. (The time above is when the evacuations were ordered.)

Given the name and general location, I'm guessing that the fire centers around Los Alamos. That, at least, is a close location. Another fire (the Tower fire) was also burning nearby, along U.S. 101 near Cuesta Grade.

With only the quotidians as exception, the charts are consistently horrific. (Final timing rests with a transit, not a quotidian. It is the exact Bridge trigger.)

ADDENDUM 7/8: It has now leapt to 19,000 acres, a gigantic leap.

The record was only 95° F for highest temperature on this date, but that record had stood since 1886 - 131 years ago. It's worth a quick look, therefore, to see what indications of "unseasonal" punishment appear.

The charts will resemble Santa Barbara charts, of course... but there's enough difference to make it worth an independent look.

As I've mentioned before, LA has some rough charts this year. The CAPSOLAR has Neptune at MC, Saturn setting (but no aspect between them), etc. The ARISOLAR looks good at first, but that culminating stationary exalted Venus is partile square Saturn (which squares MC within a few minutes).

Lunar ingresses start to bring it home more intensely. The CAPLUNAR has Mars 1° from rising, Sun on EP, and more widely foreground Saturn and Neptune. (Make that a mundane Sun-Saturn opposition foreground.) The persistent CANLUNAR has record-breaking Pluto 13' from setting, with Mars and Jupiter foreground (which sounds to me like heat and humidity).

And how about the day? Did we get anything to help tell the weather for the day? Well... not really. Tonight's Full Moon is right across the CanQ horizon, but I can't make anything clear out of that. (The AriQ puts Saturn on an angle.)

July 9, 2017, 3:18 PM, Baghdad, Iraq [event for the gov't]

The Iraqi government announced this morning that it had fully retaken Mosul, the last major ISIL stronghold. They have taken the occasion to declare victory in their long battle with ISIL (nine months of which a battle for Mosul). Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi toured the city to congratulate troops and, I'm sure, as a symbolic act to cement the victory.

They still have much work ahead to make the city fully safe and habitable, but today is the day for celebration.

New York Times reported on Abadi's arrival and actions a little after 4:00 PM Iraq time. Abadi had tweeted about his arrival in Mosul "earlier in the day" and, if I'm understanding the tweets NYT incorporated in its article correctly, this was at 5:18 Pacific time, or 3:18 PM in Iraq. This is as good a time as any to use for the announcement of victory. Another worthwhile moment (if we had the actual time): Abadi said he planted the Iraqi flag on the bank of the Tigris River this morning, an act he described as "a special moment."

July 8, 2017, soon before 11:20 PM, Colerain Township (north of Cincinnati)

Nine people were shot, one of whom died. Some of those shot were children. Police arrived at 11:20 PM in response to a 911 call, so the events happened soon before. (One pregnant woman lost her baby - miscarried - after she was shot in the leg.)

The shootings occurred at a "gender-reveal party" at the home - an event where expecting couples announce the sex of their expected child. ()I think these were called "Pink or Blue?" parties when I still lived in the Midwest long ago; the term "gender reveal" really had me thinking it was a different kind of event.) Two suspects are sought, and no motive has been disclosed or proposed so far.

I'm trying to resolve confusion on the location. Colerain Township is in Hamilton County, but this does not include either the Ohio towns of Colerain or Hamilton, which are elsewhere in the state. I can find it on a map, and using Cincinnati is probably as good as we need to check the basics here. Ah, wait, there's a Colderain Heights post office in Hamilton County - I'll use that.

SOLAR INGRESSES. The Arisolar has Mercury at MC, highlighting newsworthiness, but that's really all.

LUNAR INGRESSES. We start with a shock - conceivably, even a "mommy issue" kind of shock. The Caplunar has Venus sq. MC 0°13', and the Moon-Uranus square right on angles (Moon 0°20'). The Liblunar was right on the edge of dormant (Uranus barely in orb of square MC, but ultimately with the same three planets involved, however minimally. Even the prior Canlunar had Venus square Asc partile.

FOR THE DAY: We keep the "mommy" theme running because it was the day (worldwide) when transiting Venus conjoined CapQ Moon. In Colerain, this came out through CapQ Asc square Capsolar Mars

This fell in the larger window, for the region, of transiting Uranus square Capsolar Asc, but also transiting Jupiter on Capsolar IC (??).

But the really emotionally devastating impact is from the CanQ, which had MC conjunct ingress Saturn and square Neptune. Similarly, transiting Neptune was 0°20' from Cansolar EP.

July 10, 2017, around 4:00 PM CDT, Leflore Co., MS (use 33N33, 90W25)

A Marine Corp. plane (KC-130T) on a training flight crashed in the Mississippi Delta. All 16 people aboard died.

The location in Leflore County is described as just off US 82, and between Moorhead and Itta Bena. Moorhead is 33N27'00", 90W30'20". Itta Bena is 33N29'42", 90W19'11". These average 33N33, 90W25. US 82 runs straight between the two towns, so their average coordinates are about the best we can do.

The setup charts are adequate, and then the final daily timing by Capsolar quotidian and transits nails it.

Earlier today (7/12/17), Chicago was struck by massive rains ("torrential downpours," as the Chicago Tribune called them) dumping 5" to 8" of rain (at times, as much as 2"-3"/hour).

Another round of storms and flooding is expected tonight and tomorrow, over a wider area, dumping as much as 3" more. Downstream rivers are already set to overflow. Essentially all of northern Illinois has flash flood warnings.

As you likely know, Chicago has had a rough year, especially with regard to violence and unrest. This is reflected in the nearly-expired CANSOLAR, which, in addition to the universal Moon-Jupiter square, is dominated by a closely angular Saturn-Neptune square. The Arisolar is adequately disruptive - Mercury is the most angular, and then a Sun-Uranus conjunction is foreground. The recent CAPLUNAR is surprisingly unhelpful, with an angular Mercury (besides its universal Moon-Mars opposition); it also has a foreground Mercury-Uranus square.

This is so-so OK for flooding, though not flawless. It is missing most of the markers of rain itself. Partly this is OK because big rains are season-appropriate for Chicago, though this one pushed the usual expectations.

The tipping point probably comes from Neptune's slow transit to a Cansolar angle; then, for the exact day, CanQ MC conjoins Saturn exactly, again square Neptune.

Small compared to most pf the fires we have studied, it was nonetheless terrifying to those present: Three people died, and 12 more were injured, in a Honolulu high-rise apartment building fire Friday afternoon. (The building was called the Marco Polo, near Waikiki.)

Timing of 2:15 PM comes from a witness in the building, who was awakened by fire truck sirens at that time. People were already fleeing the building, so the fire must have started a short time before that. I'll use 2:00 PM.

The solar ingresses are almost all dormant for the year... but the Libsolar comes through / flows through strikingly, frighteningly, look much like the same chart for DC. The Bridge zooms in on one month. As usual with fires, the daily timing zoomed right in to set the exact expected tone - you really couldn't want much better.

Fourteen members of a family from Tuscon were swept away while holding a birthday party at the Cold Springs swimming hole. A six foot tall 40 foot wide wall of water mixed with debris including trees and logs crashed into them. Nine members of the family, including the woman whose birthday it was, her three children and her husband, her sister and her sister's two children, her brother, her mother and a third sister's son, were killed. Those who survived had to be treated for hypothermia even though the outside temperature was over 90 F.

This tragic event briefly felt "close to home for us." I first read of it on the way to work this morning, and saw it was a bit north of Phoenix. SInce Marion's dad lives a little north of Phoenix, we were concerned they'd gotten caught in bad weather at the least. It seems, though, they were a bit further away.

Anyway: July 15, 2017, 3 PM, Payson, AZ.

CAPSOLAR: Bad year for the area. Mercury keeps the chart from being dormant, which then brings a foreground Mars-Saturn square and Venus-Neptune conjunction into play. The ARISOLAR added Pluto 0°30' from Descendant.

The CAPLUNAR is quite severe. Moon opposes Mars (1°54'), foreground. Also Sun opposite Pluto (0°14'), about 2° from the angles, so the message is primarily out-of-bounds extremes and violence. Jupiter is 4° from Ascendant, for the massive rain. It's quite an excellent chart for the event.

For the day, though, we really don't have anything to show. There might be something in the minor ingresses, but not in the major ones.

As an aside, and an experimental inquiry, Moon's recent passage of 15° Aquarius (an Octal-Lunar chart, which we are investigating) occurred July 13, with Moon in the degree of Midheaven and conjunct a culminating Neptune. (Moon also exactly squares Venus.) Saturn is 5° off an angle. It's not bad at all for death by water.

Last night (7/17/17), two more Republican Senators aligned against the current "repeal and replace" healthcare bill, making it certain to fail in a vote, so it was withdrawn for the present. A lot of other little things happened in the aftermath, new promises, new threats, new twists... but the bottom line is that, at least for the moment, the measure is dead and more difficult to resurrect.

I'm not sure where this falls in the current astrological pattern. It's part of a continuum flowing through this period of time. From my subjective perspective, I could celebrate that this happened on the first day that the mundane charts show "good things start happening today," but I'm loathe to put that kind of admittedly partisan value judgment on events. (If it's true that a large majority of people in this country did not want this bill to go through and were literally scared for themselves and their families, then the "whew, we avoided that horror" fit the charts; but I'm not convinced the partisan divide on the issue is that narrow.

Anyway, here is the part of the current forecast that most immediately outlines the period including yesterday. Draw your own conclusions.

BRIDGE
July 17-21 ...a short JUPITER Zone. For a few days, everything flips from lose to win, from scarcity to greater abundance. Reinforcing the strongest indications of the Year Chart, the lead is taken by diplomacy and peace, expansion, prosperity, and generosity (though also with a big side advantage to the privileged and aristocratic). This grace will be appreciated in an otherwise treacherous week.

Arilunar (July 16)
The Arilunar covers July 16-22... It threatens to be a treacherous week. Moon-Mars is repeated (1°48') along with the recurring, wider Moon-Uranus. Neptune rises, an unhappy pairing with Moon-Mars, and squared by a cadent Venus. Of the many possibilities under Venus-Neptune, the most common, especially with strong Mars, are mass murders (especially shooting deaths) and acts of treachery and betrayal.

Intense devotion, passionate belief, and compelling fantasy or role-playing are themes of the time. Disillusionment, betrayed alliances, perceived offenses, diplomatic embarrassment, and loss of respect are their shadow expressions. Loyalty surrenders to practicality. With Moon half a degree from square Sun, the theatrical element is more pronounced, and attention is focused especially on the involvement of the government and the person of the head of state.

Give or take two days, the solar focus on the head of state peaks July 17 and 21, with transiting Uranus shaking things up with the unexpected July 20. Also, the 19th-20th brings Jupiter-Pluto (first Jupiter, then Pluto); see what to expect above and in our standard interpretations.

Still another Minneapolis shooting by police has brought negative focus on the city - and this one was of unusual tragedy. A Minneapolis woman (whose story has been widely told: she appeared to be at a peak place in her life) called 911 to report what sounded like a sexual assault behind her home. When the police arrived, she went out to talk to them and the officer shot her through the police car window, killing her. Here is the evolving story:

Many details haven't been released yet, though an investigation by an outside agency began immediately. This occurred last Saturday, July 15, 2017, 11:41 PM.

The July 9 Caplunar is especially appropriate for startling violence, though it's primary indication is Mercury - this shows on the map in the forecast for the month, right through Minneapolis. (Publicity? Phone call?) Additionally, Uranus is closely setting, with Mercury-Uranus in close mundane square. Moon opposes Mars, partile in mundo in Minneapolis.

CapQ Ascendant squares Venus-Neptune. If though this isn't a classic Venus-Neptune shooting, it surely captures many of the emotions involved. Concurrently, transiting Mars conjoined Minneapolis' Capsolar Ascendant.

Last night a truck pulled into a Walmart parking lot in San Antonio TX. Surveillance cameras showed several vehicles picked up people from the truck. One man in the truck begging Walmart employees for water. They gave him water, then called police, who found about 30 people in the truck, 9 dead, 17 in critical condition and thirteen in serious condition. There will be permanent brain damage for some of them. The police said it was a case of human trafficking. It appears there were about 38 people inside the truck at the time police were called.
Firefighters were called 12:30 a.m local time, Sunday July 22, 2017, probably by the first officer on the scene, and I doubt s/he waited more than a minute before calling. Police were also rounding up people who'd run into a wooded area.

The temperatures in San Antonio were over 101°F yesterday, and didn't drop under 90° till after 10 PM about an hour after sunset. The truck was "refrigerated" but the air conditioning wasn't working.

Caplunar shows Uranus line slicing through the area, and Canlunar shows Sun and Mars square IC(? hard to read) about equidistant, but close to San Antonio.

The new CANSOLAR does have Venus most angular, breaking dormancy... but only most angular by a little. Saturn is setting, moderate orb; so the whole effect is Venus and Saturn angular together, which certainly has the right feel.

The CAPLUNAR, as you mention, HAS Uranus angular, < 2° from Descendant. Along with this, the whole world has Moon opposite Mars (1°54'), which becomes partile mundanely in San Antonio. (It's foreground there, too.) So, Uranus with Moon-Mars, which feels startling and harsh. (Actually, the better Uranus word here is probably "disclosure" or "discovery.")

And yes, the new CANLUNAR has the Sun-Mars, but also Uranus and some Jupiter-Pluto. I've come to expect Saturn for temperature severities of any kind, but don't see it here. Behold the Canlunar placements:

3°30' Aries Uranus (2°19' from IC)
5°23' Cancer Sun
5°37' Libra MC
6°38' Cancer Mars

18°39' Sagittarius Asc
20°53' Virgo Jupiter
22°50' Sagittarius Pluto (3°05' from Asc)

Moon is widely on WP, and 7° above Descendant - not a big factor but one we get to count as "rounding out the picture" because the chart is full live and booming. It probably adds the human interest, "feel their tragedy with them" quality.

The local tragedy is captured by the CapQ, with Asc 29°07' Scorpio conjunction Capsolar Saturn. (Transiting Saturn is just a bit too far, but - there's the Saturn I wanted for the deadly, extreme weather - the area had been under four days of Saturn exactly rising.) And it was double-barreled, because CanQ Descendant was 29°15' Scorpio, just minutes away, and this also was within 2° of Cansolar Saturn (and had layered the area with the same four days of deadly conditions).

What a miserable way to go

Latest word from Federal Enforcement is there around a hundred people crammed into that truck. The ones still there when they got there were too sick to run or unwilling to leave stricken relatives.

I think this is modified by the fact that the Jupiter is square Pluto and, in fact, the closer contact is transiting Pluto square Capsolar MC 0°20'. (I'm not thinking of an exact Jupiter-Pluto theme that covers this event specifically, but that's what we have. Oh, I suppose this is primarily a Pluto event, modified by Jupiter to show "place of amusement.")

Also squarely to the point, CanQ Dsc is 0°13' from transiting Pluto, and 1°09' from square transiting Jupiter.

Yes.

That still doesn't feel like it nails the influence, but it's certainly what appears to happen. Fires at clubs and such.
Governor Kasich said "You know, the Fair's about the best things in life and then tonight with this accident, it becomes a terrible, terrrible tradgedy." That feels like as good an expression of the emotions as I've heard.

Additional events should focus on worst of their kind events in easy categories. We can study smaller events here and keep looking, but for the book we should stick with worsts, and other singularity significant events.

So about 10:35 AM this morning in DC, Ben Sasse publically made a speech in which he told Trump "If you're thinking about making a recess appointment to push out the attorney general, forget about it." and then he said "Despite the lazy, partisan rhetoric of this city, not everything is actually a blood feud between Republicans and Democrats. The Presidency isn't a bull, and this country isn't a china shop."
I doubt my senator has any idea Trump is a Taurus, but perhaps he understands it on a subconscious level.

Well, the Senate tried all kinds of approaches... and every last one failed. In a highly dramatic moment last night (7/27/17), Sen. McCain gave the final nay vote that struck down the "skinny repeal" last ditch effort and, as far as we know, derailed with finality (this term, or at least right now) the Republican effort to repeal Obamacare.

The Canlunar has been highly descriptive of the volatility, antagonism, polarization, and in-fighting of the week (best shown by the extreme and loud in-fighting at the White House, but also by what we've seen in the Senate).

Why now, i.e., what were the daily indicators? Well, there is a lot of Mars right now, including an on-going Sun-Mars conjunction in space that is squaring Cansolar and CanQ Moon; and right now, that transiting Sun-Mars conjunction is atop Washington's Capsolar Ascendant (even closer now than last night - it fully crosses later today).

And we also have that same Sun-Mars conjunction square CapQ MC. Because the two planets move roughly the same speed as a quotidian angle, this is actually a longer-term transit, not a blip for a day.

We've been watching what I call Octal Ingresses (bad term for them, but the best so far), and late July 25, just before this push of voting, Moon crossed 15° Leo, and the chart for this moment has Jupiter 2°14' below Descendant, Uranus 3°15' below Ascendant, and a < 2° Moon-Neptune mundane opposition. I'd say "not bad" on describing a saving of the social support fabric amidst extreme chaos and nonstop sensationalism.

Both houses of Congress, in this polarized and confrontational time (described above), have passed a bill levying sanctions against Russia and impeding the president's ability to reduce or remove them. They passed it by veto-proof margins. I've already reviewed the magnitude of infighting (see above) and the amount of overall Mars in the world this week. So, how is all this for Russia?

Well, the July 23 Canlunar has Neptune conjunct MC (2°10') and Pluto even closer to Dsc (0°25'). Neptune-Pluto? Yeah, that's a heavy aspect (see SMA for an interpretation and historic examples). It's a full Neptune-Pluto aspect, too: a mundane square < 3°.

Add to that the Moon-Sun-Mars triple conjunction very close by aspect and wide by angularity. Mundanely, the Sun-Mars conjunction is only 0°04' wide for Moscow.

They ain't happy! This is a kind of war, in fact; and they stand in the face of economic chaos if this goes too badly for them.

Economic conditions in Venezuela have been bad for a time and, as of this week, many observers thing the government itself is on the verge of collapse. "Chaos" is not too strong a term for what's happening. Then, late last night, the government outlawed all protests, with punishment of a decade in prison for disobedience.

Given the long-term problems and building tensions, I expected the solar ingresses to be very clear indicators. They are not. The Capsolar and Cansolar are both dormant. The Arisolar is also dormant, though barely, and its main indicator is Mars 3°21' from MC. This means that the only operative solar ingress of the last 12 months, still in force via flow-through, is the Libsolar, which has the following simple indication of revolt (one might say, revolution) - not to mention a heavy-handed president:

Uranus sq. MC (+1°26')
Sun sq. MC (-1°08')
-- midpoint (0°09')
-- Sun-Uranus op. (1°51' in mundo)

There is also a wide Mercury angularity, but this is the main feature.

I'd have expected a calmer month, with Venus setting in the Caplunar, but we haven't had a calmer month. One recent factor is that the transiting Sun-Mars conjunction has been crossing Capsolar Asc and squaring its MC - this will pass in another day or two.

Last night, CanQ MC opposed transiting Jupiter and squared transiting Pluto. I think we need to count this as the whole aspect - not Jupiter alone, for example, but specifically a Jupiter-Pluto square exactly angular. That's the kind of imperialistic, legally frightening, culturally impacting effect of the suppression of protest.

And, finally for this morning, Pakistan's prime minister was disqualified for office last night by the nation's Supreme Court. Tumbling is in force...

Islamabad has a strained, malefic Capsolar, with Saturn on EP square Mars on IC. Then this really cranks up in the current Caplunar, where the universal Moon-Mars opposition is right along the meridian, square Uranus exactly on EP.

Then comes the July 23 Canlunar, and it gets even more acute, with the Sun-Mars conjunction exactly rising, tied by square into the more widely angular Uranus. Pluto is on WP. It's... tense and volatile and shaking things up and violent.

Transiting Saturn has been back, moving back and forth across the Capsolar EP. Then, yesterday CapQ Ascendant opposed Pluto for a disruption and breech.
