The Great Recession of 2008 led to rock bottom interest yields which led to this:

which actually saved the hosing industry--but drove rental prices through the roof.

Was that a Freudian slip? A lot of people felt the bank bailouts hosed them. 😈

Of course it 'hosed' the ordinary working person. Have you seen the movie the Big Short??? This movie, imo, explains exactly why & how the ordinary working person was 'hosed.' Because of the fundamental effects of the Great Recession to the housing market, allowed certain well capitalized big protected institutions a huge opportunity by buying homes at a huge discount and since the ordinary working person could no longer afford to qualified for purchasing a home--this created a huge rent demand--which of course the big institutions took advantage. Its always the ordinary working person who is taken advantage of in today's so-called modern economic society.
