Napa-Sonoma Fires (Tubbs Fire)

Now that this has turned into one of the worst fires in American history and (in terms of territory burned and economic damages) threatens to become the worst in California history, I need to work it up more fully.Jim Eshelman wrote: Mon Oct 09, 2017 7:38 pm Napa and Sonoma Counties have horrendous fires burning since last night (October 8). [EDIT: The reported start time was 9:43 PM, Calistoga.] They've had fires before, but people I know who live there (and have been evacuated from there) say they've never seen anything like this - the speed, the intensity, adding a whole new dimension of horror. Landmarks have been eradicated. The psychological effect is enormous as well.
The fire evidently started October 8, 2017, 9:43 PM, near Calistoga, CA; specifically, 38N36'32'', 122W37'44''. Possibly the charts should be done for Santa Rosa, where the most horrendous damage has occurred but, for now, let's keep it to the start location. (The difference is probably negligible in a practical sense.)
UPDATE 2/20/18: 43 deaths. 5,643 buildings destroyed (half were homes). 36,807 acres burned. Damages of $1.2 billion in Santa Rosa alone. Deemed the most destructive fire in California's history, it burned parts of Napa, Sonoma, and Lake counties - the heart of northern California's wine region. Starting October 8, it was contained by October 31. Though technically still under investigation, the cause is widely connected to reports of downed power lines and blown transformers combined with drought conditions.
The charts are savagely accurate... up through the month, with the week then being questionable and the day a total dud.

Supplemental charts...
In this case, we do get some help from the valid-but-less-reliable secondary charts. For example, here are transits to the Arisolar (which, in this case, is the active solar ingress) for the start of the fire:
26°26' Leo t Mars
27°46' Scorpio t Saturn
28°08' Aquarius MC
28°32' Leo t Venus
The national charts (for Washington, DC) should also be consulted for this huge-scale event. Here are excerpts from my original forecast for the week this fire started, from a national level: While the following themes were operative at the national level, nothing horrendous or devastating happened - except in Napa-Sonoma and other areas with local phenomena.
Horrific cruelty summarizes the fortnight of October 6-22. Mars, Venus, and Saturn are all within 1° of Arilunar angles (Mars being 0°03 from Midheaven), and all within close aspect of each other. (During most of this time, a Mars-Saturn square also crosses Washington's Cansolar angles.)
Mars-Saturn alone is harsh, hurtful, and destructive. Venus makes it intimate and personal. Venus-Mars potentially adds a distinctly sexual quality, or at least inflames passions above reason... Venus-Saturn shows powerful love coexisting with severe loss, i.e., grief, hate, and remorse, plus a larger sense that "the party's over." ...
Then it gets worse: Pluto, on the prime vertical, makes close mundane aspects to Venus, Mars, and Saturn on the meridian and horizon. These most simply mean traumatized international relationships and stark severing of emotional ties (Venus-Pluto), ferocious unleashing of force and unlawfulness (Mars-Pluto), and catastrophic loss and dramatic tragedies or hardship with a sometimes apocalyptic feel (Saturn-Pluto).
It's bad.
Mars and Saturn come to CanQ angles on October 11-12. This is when everything comes to a head. (Remember, there is a two-day range either side.) ...
