Garuda Indonesia Flight 152

Post by Jim Eshelman »

September 26. 1997, about 1:30 PM, 3S15'53" 98E40'48"

This is Indonesia's worst aviation disaster ever. On the plane's final approach to Polonia International Airport in Medan, Indonesia, while still 30 miles out, it crashed into a mountainside. Low visibility was blamed, and confusion of and misdirection by the air traffic officers appears to have been a factor. Everyone on board (234 passengers and crew) died.

The crash occurred with Saturn exactly square Ascendant.

Year: Capsolar (Dormant.)

Year: Cansolar
Uranus sq. Asc (0°52')
Sun & Neptune more widely foreground
-- Sun-Neptune op. (3°58')

Bridge
t Uranus sq. Cansolar Asc 7/17-1/22

Month: Caplunar
Saturn sq. Asc (0°38'), conj. MC (1°13')
Moon, Venus, & Neptune more widely foreground
-- Venus-Neptune sq. (0°19')
Moon-Neptune conj. (2°39')

XTRA? Of interest: The angular Saturn is sesqui-square Mercury (40') and Pluto (51'), which are in 0°11' background square. The chart is very good without it, but a clear transportation element would be added were this a valid astrological consideration.

Venus on IC (2°01')
