Odd Scorpio Moon Stuff

I know two Pisces Sun Scorpio Moon women I'm friends with. They even have the same birthday (April 13, 1990). Both had hard and violent pasts. Both are very warm and kind-hearted but also guarded and mysterious, and all that other stuff. One is obsessed with mermaids and the Ophiuchus zodiac sign. Another is into goth and anime stuff. One struggles with abusive relationships. The other has chronic illness so severe she is forced to live on welfare.

It's really weird how easily I become close friends with Scorpio Moon women (like the Virgo Sun Scorpio Moon friend) but Scorpio Sun women are as locked as clams. Why would that be?

I'm not sure. It could be something very broad, e.g., since you especially speak of them in highly emotionally dramatic terms, maybe they fulfill a fantasy or need for emotional drama? You have an exact Moon-Neptune conjunction, after all.

They seem to represent some sort of Shadow Ideal for you (using "shadow" in the Jungian sense, and exalting it to a Greek near-god "ideal" level). There may be a reason not related to your own chart, but to someone else's, e.g., does your mother have a Scorpio Moon? Or some other highly important infancy-era woman?

I'd have even gone with an answer like, "your Novien Moon is in Scorpio," but that's not true. Your Navamsa-Novien Sun is in Aries or Leo, your Navamsa-Novien Moon is in Libra-Aquarius.

I doubt it's something as simple as you have Scorpio on your Descendant. That would match old astrological theory, but it doesn't match my experience. (For example, with Pisces setting I've rarely ever been drawn to a Pisces, and rarely to Neptunian type women.) But, to argue against myself, my mate also has Taurus rising and Scorpio setting, and she's had a life flooded with Scorpio women friends, almost to the point of facetiously wondering sometimes if there is a Scorpio Moon conspiracy to surround her. (In Marion's case, it makes more sense, though, because she's a Taurus-Scorpio - any Hub Moon makes sense for her - and her mother had a Scorpio Sun, her sister a Scorpio Moon, so there's early imprinting.)

It's a really interesting question.

PS - I edited the thread title so it was more distinctive to your question, and would serve as a better kind of reference point in the future.

Bog, by chance do these women all have early Scorpio Moons? Or are they spread through the sign? I'm wondering if their Moons are actually conjunct your Descendant, not just in the same sign. (Or very late enough that they would be reasonably considered conjunct your Sun?)

Correction, one of them (the one obsessed with mermaids) has her birthday on April 14, 1990. The goth one has her birthday on April 13, 1990.

The goth one, let's call her Bt*** , has her Moon from 2-14 deg Scorpio. The mermaid one, let's call her Jl*** has her Moon from 14-25 deg Scorpio. My DSC is 25 deg Scorpio.

My mom has a Leo Moon, with Venus & Saturn in Scorpio. My older sister is an Aries Sun Scorpio Moon with ASC partile Neptune in Scorpio. She is also a gothic/artist type. But I don't know how that explains things.

Such women tend to be a Scorpio luminary but not necessarily. Pisces and Taurus luminaries are also common. I do think it has to do with my weird obsessions with astrology though. I did mention a long time ago how I was {nassed} about what hack astrologers said about tropical Sagittarius in their sub-level astrology (like being frivolous, stupid, fat, happy-go-lucky, shallow etc.) It keeps reminding me of two stereotypes: one being the ditzy head cheerleader in high school, the other some kind of noble savage caricature.

It's so obviously untrue I can't help but suspect some kind of conspiracy at times. Anyway, true Scorpio luminaries aren't like that, and it's satisfying to see someone bash a retarded stereotype.

Problem is I unintentionally end up in some kind of caretaker role with the women. It's nice to be kind and supportive but I tend to take it too far, to the point where I metaphorically cut my balls off. And Scorpio luminary women simply don't like that kind of man in the romantic or sexual sense, neither do "Shadow Ideal" women. Unless I learn to man up somehow I am in a doomed position.

Hi By Jove,
would it be possible to post your birth details in the Archive for forum participant birth data as to be able to look up your chart?

Jim, how would you exactly define a Shadow Ideal? It sounds very Jungian.

I meant it that way: Especially (in this particular case) an image that you consciously identify as dark and negative and yet (because it is a need-to-be-owned part of your own psyche has an inescapable magnetic, erotic fascination for you.

You have a huge Stellium in Sag I see, with pluto and mars helping. From my point of view as a woman with Scorpio moon I would say your a really cool guy with a presence whom would make it easy for a dark lady to feel comfortable with as a trusted friend and depending where these ladies venus lie a fun and giving lover.

You also were conditioned in a way by your older sister to understand this placement, so your attitude and inclination would be of kindness towards thier unique flair. Woman like to feel safe, (which having scorpio moon is challenging in this world) understood ( again lacking for many in this aspect) and accepted not excepted.

Most men and many women are naturally inclined to be sexually responsive and attracted to Scorpio Moons...its more of a primal libedo thing IMO then any specific astrology. Our culture predisposes us to want to unveil ( get naked) with the mysterious feminine. Alluring and seductive images a wash society reinforcing it.

That does make a lot of sense. Practically every Scorpio woman I know is a "dark lady" of some kind. And Scorpio Sun Su*** is opening up more to me and, well, she is kind of a "dark lady" herself though she doesn't look it. Thanks Veronica!
