Sexual Assault In The Media

With Kevin Spacey's recent outing as a pedophile, I wanted to discuss all of the news concerning the recent allegations of sexual harassment as of late. Other big names to top the list of sexual predators include Nick Savino and Harvey Weinstein. I know that this can be seen in their natal charts, but I was thinking that it might have something to do with Saturn passing back and forth between Sagittarius and Scorpio. Not only has it been a blow to the elitists, but also to their secrets. The thing that seems odd is that these were terribly open secrets that the media has been very late in exposing. There have always been accusations about these people, but they're only gaining more attention because big names are now stepping forward to make accusations.

Yes, I think Saturn in Scorpio has more than a little to do with it. These have been emerging over the last year or two, and recently caught fire on Saturn's "last fling" return to that constellation.

I have a hard time relating it to Saturn in Sagittarius because Saturn hasn't been in Sagittarius while this is blowing up big. (There's no cusp. It's either in one or the other.)

I've also wondered if this wasn't fed by Jupiter in Libra - brining a bit of social justice tone to what has been primarily a women's issue. The #metoo big ballooning and the immediate lead-ups to it occurred after Jupiter entered Libra.

Would it be too much of a reach, a leap of intuition, to wonder whether Lesath, the stinger of the Scorpion, is somehow involved here?

I'd take it back to Cosby. When did that seriously break loose?

From astrodatabank's page on Cosby:
In an October 2014 interview, emboldened by a Hannibal Buress comedy routine where Buress called Cosby a serial rapist, artist Barbara Bowman repeated her long-standing accusations that Cosby drugged, sexually assaulted and raped her over a two year period beginning in 1985 when she was 17 years old. On November 16, 2014, Hollywood Elsewhere published an essay by journalist Joan Tarshis claiming that Cosby raped her in 1969 when she was 19 years old. On November 18, 2014, model Janice Dickinson spoke with Entertainment Tonight and accused Cosby of raping her in 1982 after giving her a glass of wine and a pill.

Many thanks for all the replies. It's quite strange that you mention Cosby, I was thinking about how he and Spacey are both Cancer suns, which probably means a huge shadow. I am very much in agreement that women or men should never be sexually assaulted or coerced, but I think that this dynamic between Aries and Libra is hiding something way more sinister. Back in 2014, Stephen Collins, a popular actor was unmasked for being a pedophile. I am not trying to minimize the situation, but a lot of these people coming forward were adults when sexually assaulted, meaning they could have told their stories. A lot of them received things in exchange for their silence and sexual coercion. Sadly, children in Hollywood don't have this option to decide.

Back to Stephen Collins, he has a 5 degree Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Cancer of the father figure/shadow. The "Cardinal" signs seem to be quite active for this event.

A side comment - one I don't take seriously, but thought I'd share with you on this topic...

A discussion about this topic in a predominantly Tropical mundane astrology forum started with a Tropicalist asked how Siderealists saw this trend emerging. We talked about outer planet sign placements and all sorts of things, and then, in response to a question of "Why U.S. only?" I mentioned the 2017 Capsolar and my prediction of cries for reform of the social contract and general outspoken activism.

One of the participants asked what, if anything, in the Capsolar specifically addressed sexual themes. I said I didn't think anything addressed that specifically, that it wasn't the main point - the main ooint was the loud social protest. (The sexual invasions have been going on for decades. They aren't "what's new." The raised voices are what's new.)

But then I added... saying I personally didn't think this was a valid approach, and I didn't really want to take credit for it... that if you really wanted a mnegative sex theme from the Capsolar you could see it in the 8th house placement of Mars and a close Venus-Neptune conjunction, with Mars squaring Saturn in the 5th house.

It was at least curious.
