At the stroke of midnight

At midnight tonight, hundreds of millions of people will wonder what 2018 will bring. If you ask it aloud to another person, we enter the real of horary astrology, where a chart for the moment of a posed question contains the answer.
At midnight in Washington, DC tonight, Venus will be exactly angular, so we might hope that most of our leaders most dearly want peace, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles have Sun more angular, so our greatest cities likely will be where the real leadership rests for the year. But for the whole country, Moon opposes Saturn at midnight; it gets closer the farther west we move, so there is great anxiety and dread of what current paths will cost us personally. (In some places, mid-Alabama, Moon-Saturn is the strongest feature of the chart.)
At my house, midnight will occur with the star Vindemiatrix rising, so we shall be worshipping the grape! Happy New Year, everyone!
