A great example of how Moon-Mercury-Saturn works out through a particular locale.

[This might be better when we get the exact coordinates of the accident. For West Columbia per se, ingress Saturn is 2°06' from CanQ Asc, a bit too wide. Similarly, t Saturn is 2°16' from Cansolar Dsc. Both would benefit from the angle being several minutes earlier.]

Stock Market plummet
Today, all U.S. markets dropped about 4% or more - the DJIA lost 4.6%, or 1,175 points in what was the single largest point drop in the history of the market. That's not as bad as it sounds, though, because the high numbers make "largest point drop" proportionately small compared to other drops - it wasn't the highest percentage drop. But it was significant.
Today was the exact day transiting Saturn conjoined CapQ Moon.
In a published study of the 20 dates of Dow Jones Industrial Average greatest losses, I learned:
* Daily timing charts for NYC were essentially useless; for Washington, they were meaningful.
* Pluto and Uranus were dominant in the CapQ, showing disruption, shock, and instability.
* Transits to Capsolar for NYC had Mars to angles most often, Saturn and Pluto next most often.
* Transits to Capsolar for Washington didn't have the Mars effect, but favored Saturn and Pluto.
* For current lunar ingresses, Washington had Neptune, NYC had Saturn, and there were very high occurrences of Moon-Pluto and Moon-Uranus aspects.
How did the charts for today match that? The event (where it hit that deep low) was close of market, February 5, 2018, 4:00 PM. I'll check both Washington & NYC. (The whole afternoon, there was a Moon-Uranus opposition in space.)

Yes, this is what I was seeing months ago with our 2018 Capsolar, combined with Mercury (Commerce) could damn well be the main SMA reason for a downer market for 2018, on balance. And we get two more exact cnj hits of t. Saturn to Cap Moon July 14, & Oct 27.Today was the exact day transiting Saturn conjoined CapQ Moon.

Taiwan earthquake 6.4
February 6, 2018, 15:50:42 UT, 24N10'26'', 121E39'11''
A 6.4 magnitude earthquake hit Taiwan today. Above are the data.
A hotel collapsed. A highway was closed. Other details are still pending. (Sunday, a 6.1 quake struck not far away.)
UPDATE 2/7: A Wikipedia article has appeared here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_Hualien_earthquake
Information is still coming in. It obviously shook people up badly and brought some buildings down. So far, known casualties are quite slight, 7 dead and 256 injured. [UPDATE 3/4: 17 dead, 285 injured]
