It doesn't sound too serious, but it was a fright for a short while, and we might as well take a look.

California's ski country had two avalanches, one Friday night at Squaw Valley Ski Resort, and the other Saturday morning (3/3/18) at about 10:15 AM on Mammoth.

CAPSOLAR: Neptune partile square MC, plus the universal Moon-Mercury-Saturn. (Moon-Mercury is only 0°05' in mundo). BTW, this may have been a Neptunian "oops" event, since it seems they triggered the avalanche while trying to prevent one by setting off tiny little snow discharges.

CANLUNAR: Neptune holds sway here, too. In addition to a partile (universal) Moon-Uranus, Neptune is partile conjunct MC with a Mercury-Saturn mundane square close to the angles. (A little Mars, a little Venus.)

CapQ: CapQ Dsc crossed s Uranus, MC sq. t Uranus, IC crossed Venus. (Transiting Uranus sq. ingress Venus, right on angles: Does this point to a recreational area?) Transiting Neptune remains partile square Capsolar MC, triggered by a Sun-Neptune conjunction.

A helicopter crashed into the freezing waters of the East River in Manhattan. All five passengers (tightly strapped in) died; the pilot survived.

Current theory is that a piece of passenger luggage bumped the emergency fuel shutoff button.

A posted tweet from someone who had just seen this is time-stamped 4:16 PM, but I think that gets displayed in my time zone. For the moment, then, I'm using 7:15 PM EDT. A video shows city lights have come on, so it was after sunset. (Sunset was 6:58 PM, so this all sounds right.)

CAPSOLAR: The whole world has that Moon-Mercury-Saturn focus. NYC is much the same as Washington for angles, with especially Uranus square MC 0°11' (as part of the Sun-Uranus square and more).

CAPLUNAR: Its biggest similarity to the Capsolar is the angular Su - both are on IC. I'm not happy, though, with Jupiter tightly square Sun, MC, and - especially - Mercury. -- A curio, though: The angular Mercury is also 0°06' from semi-square Saturn. (We don't normally look at that; I thought I should mention it.)

LIBUNAR: Jupiter rises. Not an appropriate chart at all. (Yes, Moon opposes Uranus; but that doesn't supplant the Jupiter rising.)

CapQ: For the third time, Sun on IC. (What the heck is this all about?) Nothing else of note. - We do have the long-term transits of Uranus and Pluto to Capsolar angles.

Transits to Cansolar: The real timing was transiting Mars square Cansolar MC for NYC. It was 1°30' wide at the time of the crash. This transit takes extra importance because, with the Uranus and Pluto transits to the Capsolar, it comprises the Bridge, timing a Mars + Uranus-Pluto event to within a few days.

The National Student Walk-out is underway. Last I heard, students from 23,000 schools were planning to participate. It began at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, and will continue at 10 AM across time zones. Students, exactly one month after the Florida school shootings, are walking out of their classrooms en masse for 17 minutes - one minute for each student killed. Thousands of students already walked out in the first wave.

This is also a week and a half before the 3/24 march in Washington. Earlier this week, protestors put 14,000 empty shoes outside the U.S. Capitol Building, representing each child that has been killed in a school shooting since Sandy Hook.

Some high schools said they would suspend any student that participated - putting a college-stigmatizing mark on their record. Then Harvard, Yale, and other major schools announced they will not count it against a student if they are suspended for participating in today's events. (At Newtown High School, teachers characterized the students respectful protests as an extension of social studies classes.)

Viacom suspended normal programming from 10:00 AM to 10:17 AM Eastern Time, replacing it (on MTV, VH1, and Logo) with broadcasts of young anti-gun activists.

I frankly don't know what's going on in Austin. So far, five bombs have been set off there (or, one of them, while en route there). Nobody has died, but people have gotten hurt. It doesn't seem to be about each bomb, but about something larger occurring.

It is, however, an easily isolated location astrologically. Remember that Moon-Mercury-Saturn triple conjunction in the Capsolar? Well, it slices through the middle of Texas. In fact, the Austin IC is 0°
14' from Saturn, 1°48' from Moon, and 2°43' from Mercury. Uranus is 2°09' before due west (Vertex) in azimuth, and Neptune (which seems a sign and a half from Uranus) is 2°47' on the other side. That isn't close enough to count as a meaningful conjunction, but it does put Uranus square Saturn 0°24' in azimuth (PVP square).

For the month, the Caplunar has a 0°19' Moon-Uranus square everywhere in the world, but in Austin it is angular, with Uranus 2°17' from Descendant. Mars, 2° past Antivertex (due east), is almost exactly PVP square the angular Uranus.

If it seems that it's picking up this week, notice that today is the exact day that Mars transiting Capsolar Saturn - which was on IC in Austin. The Austin IC is 7°47' Sagittarius, and Mars is spending most of a week slowly inching across that degree. After it clears Saturn and IC, it will start across Capsolar and CapQ Moon, which will take several more days, just as the Cansolar's Mars-Uranus square progresses to 0°00' orb. It's really quite spectacular to see all of this in action, and I encourage anyone with an interest in these phenomena to retrace it for themselves.

Meanwhile, here in California - and specifically in southern California - we're getting ready for the "storm of the century" predicted over the next two days. Areas of Santa Barbara and Ventura counties hit by horrible fires and subsequent mudslides over the last several months have already been evacuated (if I heard correctly). As much as a foot of rain or more is anticipated in the next two days.

These meteorological predictions don't always work out as the weather scientists intend. (We know the feeling, yes?) Still, we do have Neptune angular in the Capsolar. The lunar ingresses all have the strong Moon-Uranus aspects. We haven't had a live lunar ingress since the Canlunar February 26, and it has Mercury 0°02' from MC for where I live, among several other vile features you can sort out for yourself. For immediate timing, Mars is transiting conjunct Capsolar and preparing to move across Capsolar Moon, affecting the whole world. Neptune still transits Capsolar Descendant (partile). For pure wet, CapQ EP is exactly on ingress Jupiter at the moment. CanQ EP will spend the next three or four days crossing Cansolar Pluto.

We'll see what happens.

Two people have died so far. A 39 year old man on March 2nd (the first bomb) and a 17 year old boy in the first explosion on the 12th. His mother was also injured.

The police aren't sure the incendiary device (not bomb) at the Fedex terminal is another by the same person or a copycat.

Well, that makes me look smart that last night I wrote this seemed to be coming to a head Cops had a suspect, moved in on him this morning, chased him a bit, and he blew himself up. I'm still waiting for concrete information on the timing of his final detonation, but we know it occurred with transiting Mars conjunct Capsolar Saturn on Austin's Capsolar IC. [EDIT: Current best info is "about 2:00 AM.]

Thanks for the list, JDAD. This entire story since March 2 took place under appropriate ingresses; but I'll be interested in whether there were daily markers that tagged the individual incidents.

A series of bomb explosions and near-explosions occurred on dates (identified above) from March 2 through March 21, 2018 in and around Austin, Tx. The story came to a climax March 21, 2018, about 2:00 AM, Austin, Tx, when the perpetrator was chased down by police and detonated (apparently intentionally) a final bomb that killed him.

Under a Sun-Mars square - and, for most of it, a partile Moon-Sun-Mars T-squares - one of the greatest things to happen in this country in half a century has been occurring in Washington, DC. I don't know how many thousands of children have come out to take on gun violence as a life-mission, but they are passionate, eloquent, and moving.

It's still going on. I haven't gotten to see much, just pickets here and there. I'm brining up the network at work today after a planned building power outage last night, and using the CBS streaming news broadcast to test outside network flow as it has come up and down.

Sounds like it's wrapping up now. This will be big news, and should be packaged for re-watching in whole.

The Arilunar is ugly. The CapQ has Neptune exactly angular today, and Mars-on-Saturn not far off EP. It's the best use of horrified, profoundly grievous emotion I've seen in a long time.

At least 64 dead, 47 more injured. Winter Cherry (Zimnyaya Vishnya) shopping mall, fire broke out atop a four-story building in the cinema hall (two of three buildings in the cinema area collapsed). Children are surely among the casualties.

The Crime Russia web site says it started around 4 PM. Other sites hadn't listed a time, and gave me the impression (from various scraps of data) that it was closer to noon; but since this is the only actual stated time I can find, I'll go with it for now.

CAPSOLAR: The Moon-Mercury-Saturn is at MC, Mercury & Moon foreground. Most angular, though, is Uranus rising. Moon-Mercury gets a mundane foreground square to Neptune. +2 at least.

A police station jailhouse burned, killing 68 incarcerated people, characterized as "one of the worst jailhouse catastrophes in Venezuela's history." Reportedly, it occurred during a riot. (One source says 78 or more.)

Serious overcrowding was a factor. The jail, built to house 60 prisoners, held about 200.
