Slytherin pride day
Happy national Slytherin pride day to all! Any thoughts on signs that would make a synergistic harmony in the watery, ambitious, sly, and resourceful house of Slytherin?

The ophidian (serpentine) symbolism of their heritage is, of course, pure Scorpio.

Re: Slytherin pride day
I concur Jim. I am a proud Slytherin (not much for the elite part of it but rather the traits the are given to the Slytherin).
Also water both belonging to Scorpio and Slytherin is interesting. I believe Capricorn, virgo and maybe Cancer,Pisces, and Sag are also signs that may be inclined toward Slytherin.
I always hate how people think Slytherin is evil but it's really not.
I actually have a snake tattoo myself (although snakes originally were associated with Saturn as was poison), and of course I use water as a healing method. (Ironic because there's so much fire in my chart, but bubble baths and going for a swim alone at dusk are soothing to me.)
Side note:
For my chart too looking at my top planets, personal (Sun,Moon,Mercury,Venus,Mars) angular (Sun,Jupiter,Mercury) and hard aspect to a luminary (Pluto), there ends up being a lot of ties back to Scorpio.
{(Pluto belongs to mars, Jupiter belongs to Pluto, the sun belongs to jupier, the moon belongs to the sun, Saturn belongs to Pluto, mars belongs to Saturn(although I argue that it's exaltation means it isn't ruled by anything).Mercury and Venus also belong to Mars)
Saying Mars rules Scorpio actually acts in my arguement to say that I'm dominantly a Scorpio (with 3 planets (all heightend i.e. Angular,personal,or aspecting a luminary) plus Chiron in Scorpio and it's ruler in exaltation)}

Virgo is not inclined toward Slytherin. That's a Ravenclaw trait misattributed, IMHO.

Yes I agree but each sign has order of inclanation, so Virgo could be, in order of most to least likely, Ravenclaw/Slytherin/Hufflepuff/Griffendoor.

As Sun-Moon-Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto in Virgo, I'd disagree. Virgos are service-oriented and about innocence. "Anything but Slytherin" would be a better fit, IMHO.

Re: Slytherin pride day
Slytherins tend to be ambitious, shrewd, cunning, strong leaders, and achievement-oriented. They also have highly developed senses of self-preservation.[7] This means that Slytherins tend to hesitate before acting, so as to weigh all possible outcomes before deciding exactly what should be done.
Just to clarify Slytherin traits.

Other than "shrewd," these are not distinctive Virgo traits. Most of them, in fact, are rather pointedly atypical of Virgo. (The whole ambitious, achievement-oriented, self-preserving side is either antithetical or misses the mark. Strong Leaders may be true or untrue in an individual case.) The "weigh all possible outcomes" in this case is a Mars trait, not Mercury trait.ScarletDepths wrote: Wed Mar 21, 2018 4:54 pm Slytherins tend to be ambitious, shrewd, cunning, strong leaders, and achievement-oriented. Also Slytherin is associated with perfection, which I'd agrue a Virgo trait. Also both can be tortured.

Perfection (in the way that Tropical Virgo claims it) is a Leo trait - Sun's identification with the "gold standard" sense of perfection, traits well established in Sidereal Leo.ScarletDepths wrote: Thu Mar 22, 2018 1:40 pm Also Slytherin is associated with perfection, which I'd agrue a Virgo trait.

Perfect and accurate are not the same thing.
That was a hard lesson.

LOL, like the Virgo lesson: Certainty should not be confused with accuracy. (We expect to be like a spreadsheet: Perfectly certain at any given moment based on the input available, and changing the moment the input data changes. Update, refresh...) It actually is contrary to Virgo's nature to go with the right answer if the available wrong input doesn't lead to it. (We insist on updating the inputs first.)

Re: Slytherin pride day
Update I'm talking to a Slytherin who has a cancer sun, and a libra moon. They have Pluto and Mars as there second and third most angular planets (nearly on the DC) in Scorpio as well as a Chiron in Scorpio.
Just food for thought, both of us relate to our specific Scorpio energy so much almost as much as relating to Slytherin...
