Afflicted Jupiter

Unfortunately, I have a great confirmation of an astrological principle - that you need to consider both the planet on an angle and how it's aspected. Fortunately, it is also an example of using astrology to anticipate and navigate potentially harmful waves of probability.
Marion and I have Moons in opposite signs, so we always have our lunars and demi-lunars within a day of each other. Several days ago, I looked ahead at her SLR and my Demi for yesterday. Her SLR is quite severe:
11°36' Sag Mars [1°21' above Asc]
13°24' Sag Asc
13°38' Pis Sun
13°50' Sag Saturn [0°17' above Asc]
26°09' Sag Pluto [9°55' below Asc]
2°21' Ari Uranus [0°31' past IC]
2°46' Ari Venus [0°02' before IC]
2°57' Ari IC
Notice that, besides the angularities themselves, aspects include:
Saturn-Uranus sq. 0°15' in mundo
Venus-Saturn sq. 0°19' in mundo
Venus-Uranus conj. 0°25' in eclipto
Mars-Uranus sq. 0°49' in mundo
Mars-Saturn conj. 1°04' in mundo
Venus-Mars sq. 1°23' in mundo
I was, of course, concerned about physical harm, especially an accident of some kind (aside from other possibilities). So, of course, I looked quickly at my Demi-SLR since anything big or severe happening to her would obviously have a big effect on me, too.
And, at first glance, my new Demi looked splendid (and the underlying SLR from two weeks earlier is fine). The main feature is:
27°29' Libra EP
27°33' Libra Jupiter [0°24' from EP]
Yes, my natal Mercury-Saturn is rising, and anything difficult was likely to be Mercury-related, though usually this natal aspect on the angle just means I'm far grumblier than circumstances seem to warrant, as frustrations build over a whole lot of little things that keep not going quite right.
So, I had a lot of relief - feeling a general sense of protection - until I looked one little bit further. Especially when I only see a single angular planet, and no interaction with others, I want to be sure I'm not missing hard aspects to it. Sure enough, this was not Jupiter at his best!
12°03' Sag Mars
12°33' Sag Jupiter semi-square
13°52' Sag Saturn
14°26' Pis Jupiter
Ugh. But what I expected from this was that whatever happened would cost me financially, and this would be the primary effect (and it would probably be a Mercury matter).
So, I advised Marion of the charts, suggesting a great deal of care. We looked for places in our lives that we were a bit out-integrity to find vulnerabilities (places we could be hit) and shored those up as best we could. Given the exact aspects involved, I advised her to be careful of certain relationships where there could be a misstep, but mostly to be careful concerning driving and the car in general.
Well... she called me yesterday morning. A thing happened with the car. I don't want to go into the whole complicated story, except to say that everybody is OK (no physical harm). Marion started dealing with it, and had an enormously stressful, demanding day. Meanwhile, the last 12-20 hours have cost me about $1,300, with the final tag probably aiming at around $2,000. (Damn, I should can think of better ways to get rid of $2,000!)
But we indeed feel fortunate because, of all things that could have happened that fit the charts, this is the best outcome - and about half the cost would have arisen eventually anyway (just not necessarily right now).
My Demi-SLR is right on target - provided you stop to notice that the sublimely angular Jupiter is very heavily afflicted - and what I got was (1) everything is ultimately OK with some sense of protection and ease, and (2) the effects of a heavily afflicted Jupiter in terms of costs.
PS - My new SLR in two weeks has the Mars-Saturn. I originally thought we might defer the events two weeks until we both were under the same harmful patterns, but it hit now. It's still possible there is more in two weeks, but we'll manage it in the same way. I get Mars closely, and Saturn more widely, on MC, with Sun and Uranus rising, the Sun-Mars-Uranus aspects being close mundanely - so yes, I'm planning to exercise care as April 13 approaches. Marion's Demi the day before has Jupiter exactly on WP... and yeah, but no longer octile malefics. She should have a pretty good fortnight, with her Sun rising etc. But, of course, her full SLR will still be in effect.
