Significance of signs past the Sun and Moon

How important are signs that don't have a luminary in them? What qualifications make a sign that has no luminaries in it of more strength than one that does?

My specific question revolves around Aries and it's importance in my psyche. My Sun (and A.C. ruler for what little that's worth) is angular in Aries, my only hard aspect to a luminary is Pluto (which arguably rules Aries). I don't know how this weighs in my personality.

I can say that Scorpio is very personal to me possibly followed by Aries/Capricorn and then by Sag. and Leo. (I think Jim would Put this is Sag, Leo, Scorpio, Carpicorn/Aries).

That being said Jupiter and the Sun should have more characteristics that show up in my personality, but much of there formality and values are opposite of my own.

I wish there was a way to measure resonance of a sign in a person but that's beside the point. Any thoughts?

In natal astrology, I'd rate it something like this:

Mars' sign is probably about 50-75% the strength of a luminary sign.

Mercury and Venus signs are probably 10-25% the strength of a luminary sign - probably really more like 25% but seeming less because they are highly specialized. That is, they are not part of the deep character pattern, they're just accessory tools for special purposes (style of communication, choices in pleasure, etc.) These are important life areas, but if one isn't addressing those particular things at the moment, then they're virtually irrelevant.

Jupiter outward - just ignore them. For most practical purposes, there's nothing there which is distinctive to an individual. Pretty much everyone you grew up with had Jupiter in one or two signs, so it doesn't do much to single you out from those around you. Character traits can be statistically isolated, but they don't feed back in an obvious way into the character.

Here a link that lists those traits that were identified from Jupiter in Aries when the Gauquelin character trait data was analyzed. The level of statistical significance was small in the Jupiter-sign placements overall, but here's what has popped up from this character data.

No, I wouldn't include Scorpio at all. I'd go Sagittarius, Leo, some Capricorn, then forget the rest.

A lot of things are funny including my face but that doesn't mean any of this has any real meaning. Funny Jim how you tend to see the planets that don't appear as often in discussions and in cases less powerful than ones that occur more, I think you focus to much on what is easly seen and underrate things that are harder to sense.
