I got my Pap, Gram, and aunt (all on my dad's side) who are all sidereal Saggitarius to go through the traits.
Gram says:
Innate sense of elitism, whatever their environment.
STRATIFICATION is inherent in their sense of order — socially, professionally, politically. Hierarchical.
Excellence. Quality-conscious.
Tremendous pride in doing well what they do. Artistic only in the sense of eager for quality results.
Self-image problems.
Compliment Sagittarius and you will get a sputtered, embarrassed reply; hear it joked away;
Sense of humor ironic, or commonplace and prosaic.
“HIGHER & HIGHER” Motif. Ambitious, climbing, striving to achieve.
Satisfied at attaining a preconceived level. (The arrow is aimed at a specific mark or target.)
Much travelling. (“The urge to get somewhere.”) [Flesh out with major examples.]
Improvement-oriented. Respect for the acquired, built-up body of knowledge.
Takes it, adds to it or improves it, then uses it. Improves for the present.
Expects others to pick it up for later generations.
Strongly conscious of RIGHT as he understands it — assumes others know what his values are.
Has own principles and view, and lives by them. Follows what he feels is true and right.
DISCIPLINARIANS.
High “change threshold.” Improvement seeking new innovations and change.
Sagittarius perpetuates those cultural elements and human values which have proven worthwhile within his perspective. Mores-preservant.
Patron of most art forms.
Academic-minded, scholarly and studious.
Religion, drama, history, foreign affairs, education.
Responds to societal standards far stronger than to peer group pressures.
TOTEMISTIC. Constructs Weltanschauung and “systems.”
In romance, follows the rules. (MATING DANCE.) Both sexes play out their expected roles in male-female relationships.
Men are chivalrous.
Women want to be courted
Gallant men, gracious ladies. (Living representatives of King Arthur’s court.) Conscious of the impressions they are making.
A sense of ARISTOCRACY about themselves. Much pride. Uses appropriate dramatization.
Sticks to family ties (decent = descent). Intensely patriotic. “My country (or family), RIGHT OR WRONG.”
Strong TRIBALISM (family, “the gang,” fraternity, religious brotherhood, political party, astrology, philosophical movements, or other FAMILY SURROGATES which give a sense of heritage and belonging.)
Very low sexual appetites (de-centralized eroticism = affection and complacence.) “Misogamy motif.”
Myth-building and sustaining. Preservant of significant elements of a cultural mythology. — They themselves may be candidates for “folk-hero” (or villain) status (Elvis, Howard Hughes, Nostradamus, the literary birthday for Sherlock Holmes, etc.)
GAUQUELIN CHARACTER TRAITS: Stubborn, impassioned, sincere.
BASEBALL: Significantly high for 2,780 baseball infielders and catchers and 1,608 baseball outfielders; but significantly low for 3,636 baseball pitchers.
OTHER STUDIES: High among one sample of Gauquelin sports champions.
Pap says: HOPE THIS HELPS
Works for
Excellence. Quality-conscious.
Tremendous pride in doing well what they do. Artistic only in the sense of eager for quality results.
Self-image problems. Don’t meet their own standards of excellence. (May think they have to prove themselves.
Compliment Sagittarius and you will get a sputtered, embarrassed reply; hear it joked away; or have it completely ignored. Denigrates compliments, makes them seem not worth replying to — doesn’t think he deserves them.
May not want to believe what you tell him about his horoscope. (Doesn’t want to get “busted.”)
Sense of humor ironic, or commonplace and prosaic.
“HIGHER & HIGHER” Motif. Ambitious, climbing, striving to achieve. (Did very well with this at work.)
May be directed into religious/spiritual areas.
Satisfied at attaining a preconceived level. (The arrow is aimed at a specific mark or target.)
Self-image problems may strangle ambition.
Much travelling. (“The urge to get somewhere.”) [Flesh out with major examples.] Major problems with cabin fever, have to camping throughout the summer to temporarily cure it.
Behaviorist dichotomy of punishment vs. reward, “law & order,” etc.
“Benevolently judgmental.” BENEVOLENCE is used as a “solution” sometimes instead of SPADE CALLING. (Would rather let a problem go unsolved...)
High “change threshold.” Improvement of present but will also seek new innovations and change.
Sagittarius perpetuates those cultural elements and human values which have proven worthwhile within his perspective. Mores-preservant.
Appreciates most art forms, but does not like newer music or modern art.
Pragmatic and studious.
Religion, drama, history, foreign affairs, self-education, reads the news daily (and gets upset about it).
Responds to societal standards far stronger than to peer group pressures.
In romance, follows the rules. (MATING DANCE.) Both sexes play out their expected roles in male-female relationships.
Intensely chivalrous and protective of mate.
Doesn't care about impressions they are making on the general public, but cares about spousal relationship.
Sticks to family ties, this generation and the next . Intensely patriotic, but not blindly nationalistic. (Not “My country (or family), RIGHT OR WRONG.”)
Strong clan-consciousness, knows family members. Doesn’t always acknowledge his natural peers.
"Normal" sexual appetite, within the private circle of marriage
Preservant of significant elements of a cultural mythology. — They themselves may be candidates for “folk-hero” (or villain) status (Elvis, Howard Hughes, Nostradamus, the literary birthday for Sherlock Holmes, etc.)
GAUQUELIN CHARACTER TRAITS: Stubborn, impassioned, sincere. Loyal to those who are loyal to him.
Aunt C says: it relates to her more than her parents (almost no qualms with the list, except that's she's basically a gypsy so the socially elite wouldn't work)
Mine:
Attempt at excellence. Quality-conscious.
Tremendous pride in doing well what they do. Artistic.
Self-image problems.
Compliment Sagittarius and you will get a sputtered, embarrassed reply; hear it joked away;
Sense of humor ironic.
“HIGHER & HIGHER” Motif. Ambitious, climbing, striving to achieve. (The arrow is aimed at a specific mark or target.)
Much travelling. (“The urge to get somewhere.” More so away from here)
Improvement-oriented. Respect for the acquired, built-up body of knowledge.
Hopes others picks it up for the future.
Strongly conscious of RIGHT as he understands it, uses it at his own discretion .
Has own principles and views. Follows what he feels is true and right.
Sagittarius perpetuates those cultural elements and human values which have proven worthwhile within his perspective. Mores-preservant.
Patron of most art forms.
Academic-minded, scholarly and studious.
Religion, drama, history, foreign affairs, education.
TOTEMISTIC. Constructs Weltanschauung.
Unconvential in love, may attempt to Court to continue length of relationship, highly romantic.
Aware of the impressions they make. Much pride. Uses dramatization.
Sticks to family ties (decent = descent). Patriotic. My family.
Strong TRIBALISM (family, “the gang,” fraternity, religious brotherhood, political party, astrology, philosophical movements, or other FAMILY SURROGATES which give a sense of heritage and belonging.)
Preservant of significant elements of a cultural mythology.
GAUQUELIN CHARACTER TRAITS: Stubborn, impassioned.
Note, I may add my cousins views at a later date. Tryed to utilize the traits given rather than add ones unrelated (even if more accurate for my person). Also most of the family seemingly relates to Capricorn (Saturn) more than Saggitarius (Jupiter).
Also note we are all:
Weird people, odd or off in our own way.
We as a family lack formality (we eat thanksgiving on the living room floor).
Socially we have a family reunion every so often.
My gram worked in hotels, my aunt runs her own massage business, and pap is ex military, but all of us were or still are wild (Note the Native American decent draws us toward natural things like the wilds).
Needs FREEDOM TO EXPLORE, does not want to be stalled up. Physically and mentally, almost NOMADIC in nature.
No sense of elitism past the bettering of onesself. (Self-competitive).
