China Flood killing Millions

Post by SteveS »

On this day (Aug 18th) in 1931, the Yangtze River in China peaks during a horrible flood that kills 3.7 million people directly and indirectly over the next several months.

The Capital of China at this time in History was Nanjing. Below is link for Nanjing’s July 17th, 1931 Cansolar:

Note angular Mars tight cnj MC, 1,03 trine Saturn for the ‘harmful destructive energy!’ And then note Mars partile sextile Pluto for the devastating ‘stunning-shocking’ effects. Now note Saturn partile 180 Pluto (connected) for the ‘unwanted burdens!’

Nanjing's 1931 Capsolar (Master Chart of the year) featured Saturn partile cnj East Point in RA. *Note: Vernal Point (SVP) partile cnj Zenith-Nadir axis.

Cool. Good analysis. I skipped this one in the past because I couldn't narrow it to a specific location - it was so spread out. But using the capital, and discovering that it was Nanjing, is a good solution! (This is a gigantic death toll, there's nothing like it. Even the Sumatra-Andaman quake and tsunami is only credited with 228,000 deaths, the St. Felix flood with around 100,000.)

Yes, the Capsolar (Year) has Saturn 0°03' from EP as its main thing. The Cansolar (Quarter) has Mars on MC (2°38').

The Caplunar is bad-aff, too. Floods are Uranus and Jupiter events + destruction elements (usually Saturn, secondarily Pluto). The Caplunar has:

25°04' Sag - Saturn
25°36' Pis - Uranus (0°24' from Asc)
25°51' Pis - Asc
27°02' Gem - Pluto

Moon entered Libra the day the flood peaked, but it was evidently underway for a while. Looking a week earlier, at the Canlunar, Mars is rising closely, minutes from EP. This is probably the valid Week chart, because the new Liblunar (around noon on the 18th) has Venus at MC as its main feature - it has Jupiter and Venus placed for rain, but not for much else.

In the larger time frame, Nanking had Uranus transiting its Capsolar IC.

Great example.
