Everyone can add here is they see fit.. I'll start working through some standard test event charts.
John Glenn - orbits Earth three times

by Jim Eshelman
John Glenn's historic flight was under an Ennead February 5, 1962 with a quadruple conjunction of Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter on EP (and Moon just the other side of the angle - out of orb of EP but square MC). It shows the best Mercury event ever! (They were also all within 7° of Ascendant.)(
There is more - not the least of which is Neptune square natal Neptune 07', both angular. A Mars-Saturn conjunction is foreground, but farther from an angle than the Sun-Venus-Mercury-Jupiter.
Prince Charles - marriage to Diana

by Jim Eshelman
Prince Charles' marriage Ennead has Pluto exactly rising with along with his natal Venus-Neptune. Transiting Jupiter-Saturn are conjoined in the wider foreground (just as they marked every mundane chart for the event). Moon conjoins natal Jupiter, opposes Uranus, opposes transiting Mercury.
Princess Diana - marriage to Charles

Diana's July 1, 1981 Ennead has Venus about 2° below Dsc and a close Moon-Sun conjunction (partile
in mundo). I haven't calculated the angularities of all the natal planets (at that latitude, the visual divergences will be more extreme), but I suspect her natal Moon and Jupiter are both rising. The setting Venus is about 3° from opposite her natal Jupiter ecliptically, and I imagine the opposite nearly defines the horizon of the Ennead.
Well, we shouldn't place too much importance on this chart, though, for assessing the value of the Ennead... because it was also her Solar Return!
Princess Diana - death

Diana's final Ennead occurred August 12, 1997 with Mars opposite Saturn 0°08' in mundo across the horizon (about 3-4° off the angle), even though they are 9° apart ecliptically. Moon conjoins transiting Pluto (3°13') and natal Pluto (0°31').
Princess Elizabeth's wedding

The future queen's wedding Ennead is mostly marked by Uranus-Pluto! I'm not sure this is as impressive as other examples, but it's OK.
Uranus 1°37' below Asc
Pluto 1°19' before IC
-- Uranus-Pluto sq. 0°18' in mundo
More widely foreground:
Venus 7°48' below Dsc
Jupiter 8°42' below Dsc
-- Venus-Jupiter conj. 0°54' in mundo
Also, Sun and Moon are about 3° from mundane conjunction.
Queen Elizabeth's coronation

For her coronation as queen, we begin with a partile Moon-Venus square in the background. There's not much else in the Ennead itself. However, the most distinctive feature of her natal chart (Mars-Jupiter conjunction opposite Neptune, natally on EP-WP) falls right across the horizon with Pluto (itself on widely rising) aspecting them all closely. In the end, quite good. (Oh, Moon moderate-orbed squared her Sun.)
Prince William's birth for Diana
Posted: Tue Jul 10, 2018 12:45 pm
by Jim Eshelman
When she gave birth to her first son, Princess Diana had an Ennead with Mars on IC exactly, Moon opposite Jupiter, and natal Saturn exactly setting. It's not typical at all. I imagine if I calculated the fine points I'd see that transiting Mars is exactly (mundanely) square natal Saturn, exactly on angles. Unless the birth was quite a hardship, I'd say this doesn't fit.
King Edward VIII abdication

It doesn't get much better than this (other than, say, orbs could be a bit closer). Here's the main feature:
19°05' Sco t Sun
19°06' Leo MC
22°09' Aqu t Saturn
25°02' Leo t Neptune
The classic resignation aspect square natal Sun a few minutes from an angle.
And yes, natal Venus was exactly setting. Ennead MC squared natal Neptune-Pluto.
King Edward VII coronation

Sun was exactly on IC, closely opposite natal Mars at MC. Natal Venus-Pluto is on EP axis (I didn't check it in RA).
Less clearly, Moon squared Mercury-Neptune.
It is close to his SLR: Moon conjoins natal Moon 25'.

When she gave birth to her first Sun,
A subtle reminder not to eat while using the laptop?
I think she might have felt trapped with a baby she was being told she had to raise in a certain way. I think this is where she chose to split with the monarchy. It took Charles a while to choose to back her up on how her children would be raised.
William McKinley shot
Posted: Tue Jul 10, 2018 7:13 pm
by Jim Eshelman
President McKinley was murdered under a August 23, 1901 Ennead that placed his own Mars-Neptune square on the angles - the rest being transiting Sun-Mercury and natal Mercury.
Not the best, but not bad.
Grisson & Chaffee & White- Apollo 1 fire
Posted: Tue Jul 10, 2018 7:15 pm
by Jim Eshelman
Gus Grissom died in the Apollo 1 fire under an Ennead with Saturn (conjunct his natal Uranus) at MC opposite Uranus-Pluto on IC. His Pluto was closely rising.
Roger Chaffee, who died in the same fire, had an Ennead with the same aspect across the horizon: Saturn setting opposite Uranus rising. Moon squared his natal Mercury-Saturn.
And - wonder of wonders - Edward White, the third man to die in the fire, was also under an Ennead with Saturn-Uranus across the horizon (and Mercury on IC).
Robert Kennedy murder

by Jim Eshelman
Bobby Kennedy was murdered on the night of his greatest political victory to date, under an unmistakably accurate Ennead:
24°37' Lib r Saturn
25°22' Ari MC
27°32' Ari Moon
28°49' Ari Mars
29°55' Can Asc
1°05' Leo r Neptune
1°19' Sco Neptune
1°36' Leo Jupiter
Nixon's resignation
Posted: Tue Jul 10, 2018 7:23 pm
by Jim Eshelman
Nixon's resignation was under an unsatisfying Ennead. It did have his natal Sun-Neptune opposition across the horizon, fed by Mercury, with a slight benefic glaze and a little drama. Not a good example.
Gandhi's murder
Posted: Tue Jul 10, 2018 7:25 pm
by Jim Eshelman
Gandhi was assassinated under a NSR with Neptune square Ascendant and conjunct Moon. There is some other vaguely present stuff but, in general, it's not a great chart.
Oswald for JFK murder
Posted: Tue Jul 10, 2018 7:28 pm
by Jim Eshelman
When John Kennedy was murdered, Lee Harvey Oswald had an Ennead with Moon conjunct Neptune (06') square Saturn on the angles! There's also a foreground Mars.
This is all on his natal Mercury-Mars square. In fact, his Mars is the most angular planet in the chart. (There's more, but these are the highlights.)
This is also the chart under which he was murdered soon after.
JFK murder
Posted: Tue Jul 10, 2018 7:29 pm
by Jim Eshelman
Kennedy's NSR, meanwhile, looks much like all of his other main charts for the event: Venus-Mars conjunct on Asc square Uranus-Pluto, all tied into his natal Sun which is setting.
Transiting Mars is the most angular of all those planets.
James Garfield murder
Posted: Tue Jul 10, 2018 8:28 pm
by Jim Eshelman
Garfield was shot under an Ennead with Moon opposite Mars with Pluto on MC opposite his natal Sun on IC.
Charles Whitman - Austin Tower Murders
Posted: Tue Jul 10, 2018 11:03 pm
by Jim Eshelman
Charles Whitman, for the Austin Tower murders, had an Ennead with Moon square Mars and nothing angular (except his natal Jupiter and Uranus, which are a little strange).
Abraham Lincoln murder
Posted: Tue Jul 10, 2018 11:05 pm
by Jim Eshelman
Lincoln's Ennead for his murder had all the right aspects, but doesn't have a lot to say. Moon is setting.
Oops I just realized: Ascendant exactly squares his natal Saturn, part of his natal Saturn-Neptune conjunction. This redeems it, but doesn't make it great.
