Mars-Jupiter = fog

From Garth Allen in the March 1960 issue of American Astrology:
Incidentally, we once made a point of the fog-creating capacities of Mars and Jupiter in combination, astro-meteorologically. The question jelled in connection with a train disaster during one of England's worst fogs in years. Corroboration of our rather heretical idea came unexpectedly the last week of December 1959, which brought a fog bank to the northeastern United States that the Weather Bureau declared was the heaviest and widest-spread fog in fifteen years. Via the sidereal ingresses, the triple Mercury-Mars-Jupiter conjunction exactly pinpointed the center of the civilization-snarling mist. Something for researchers to look into.
Set up the December 24, 1959 Liblunar and run an astro-map centered on South Carolina to see what he means.

BTW, to see where Sidereal Mundane Astrology had come in about two years after its discovery, he wrote in the same column,
Investigation of the ingress theory has been yielding some highly useful facts. We don't have a predictive technique down pat yet, but with so many enterprising students now plumbing the subject and reporting about it enthusiastically, it looks as though we shall soon have sufficient raw material to convert into a sophisticate mundane-interpretation system.

I'm used to Mars-Jupiter appearing for storms. Fog fits into the theory, and Bradley's encouragement nudges toward accepting it, but I thought I didn't have any examples at hand until I looked at my transportation disasters.

Ah, here's one at least: The collision of the Andrea Doria and the Stockholm occurred during heavy fog and had Mars-Jupiter foreground in the Year chart. AirAsia Flight 8501, with Mars-Jupiter foreground in the year chart, crashed during "bad weather," but I don't think fog was involved. And it was only metaphorical fog that covered Malaysia Flight 370's disappearance.

So that's one! <g>
