Converting chart data to and from other astrology programs.

In reference to a discussion elsewhere that probably should be held here...
Janus should be able to either read existing SF files, or you would be able to export the data from SF in a format that Janus can import. I'm not sure about the first option, but that's what it says in the information Janus has online.
That's possible with most programs. So don't let having to "re-enter data for hundreds of charts" hold you back from trying out another astrology program.
Most programs can read plain ascii data, or can at least import and export plain ascii (or comma delimited) files. It's a matter of getting the various pieces of information in the right order. You can change the order Solar Fire exports the pieces to match your other program (or tell it the order of the pieces in the files you have) but you can always import plain ascii data into excel or word to change the order.
Once you get it figured out, and most manuals lay it out the order they want, you can automate the exports and imports. It's not difficult to do, just fiddly.
