The red tide is caused by run-off of fertilizers and chemicals used on crops in Georgia. It's not about climate change.

Every dead animal should be assigned a dollar value by Florida and a bill presented to Georgia for the clean up and the loss of game fish, protected animals, etc.

Thanks Jsad, the various news outlets are saying the increasing red tide problems are caused by rising sea temps. Difficult to get the truth of the matter with the news sieves.

Rising temps probably don't help, but the red tide is caused by run-off from farming. The bacteria feed off the chemicals in the run off. I'm sure higher temps help them to multiply faster, but they wouldn't be able to multiply much if not for the effluent.
