I'd like to begin by saying there isn't any author in the world who in my view comes close to Monsieur Proust. He is the greatest author in the world and not having read him is the same as never having seen the ocean. He is my greatest inspiration and just saying these words has set my heart on fire.
His chart is one that really exudes a literary bent and genuine brilliance, it's the chart of a writer through and through. Not only is the sun in Gemini, but it's receiving a partile conjunction from Mercury in its domicile. This is only speculation but it seems to me that when a luminary is aspected closely by the ruler of its sign, and if the sign ruler is also dignified by sign or by aspect, a pronounced effect seems to be the subsequent result. In his case, the pronounced effect was the production of one of the longest novels ever written, and one considered by many as a masterwork of literature, In search of Lost Time. Neptune is closely angular, which fits well with the nervous, impressionable disposition of the narrator of his book, which very well may be a disposition of his own. A principal feature of his work is the observation of minute detail, demonstrating that if Proust is anything, he's likely a sponge for the world. He also has Jupiter on the IC, indicating, besides a certain lightness of character, an aristocratic upbringing which also found its way as a theme in his work. His Moon in Aries was a likely contributor to his little literary rebellion, as he broke the rules of social propriety of the time by discussing sexual themes in his work then considered reprehensible and tabboo. He himself was not exactly the straightest pointing arrow and placing himself so openly in his work without much consideration for the consequences is classiclally Arean. His moon also receives a partile trine from Venus which might explain the sweet delivery and gentle reception of all that he said. Mars in Virgo served to color his drives with an analytical tint also present in his work. The partile square between Mars and Jupiter suggests tremendous energy put toward the completion of tasks, which we also see as being present in his life. There is also a close sextile between the Sun and Pluto, common among men of genius, as well as a close configuration between the Moon and Saturn which might have disposed Monsieur Marcel to a fair share of melancholy. All in all he has in my opinion one of the best charts I've ever seen and we can all thank the stars for giving us the greatest author in the world.
