Rectification
Rectification
Using quotidian angles to time events has produced results slightly off the mark with my certificate birth time, while playing with an earlier time (by 3mins) has produced results which time events much more precisely. In a case like this, is it right to trust the earlier, rectified time as opposed to what was recorded?

Re: Rectification
Quotidians (outside of mundane astrology) are subtle enough that I wouldn't trust them for a final decision that more fundamental methods haven't confirmed. Do transits to angle seem to peak about a degree early? If so, then, yeah, maybe a slightly early time is valid.
It does seem strange in your case, though, that a doctor would go to great care to write 8:03 when the actual time was a round-hour 8:00.

I thought quotidians indicate significant events? The girl I mentioned earlier for example had Mars exactly conjunct the Dsc when she found out about her friend.Jim Eshelman wrote: Wed Aug 29, 2018 5:53 pm Quotidians (outside of mundane astrology) are subtle enough that I wouldn't trust them for a final decision that more fundamental methods haven't confirmed.
And I've never thought to really measure activity of transits to angles since, after the Sun conjoined my IC a few weeks ago, I didn't really experience anything. But I will try this around September 3rd when Mercury also conjoins my IC.Do transits to angle seem to peak about a degree early? If so, then, yeah, maybe a slightly early time is valid
And it certainly does seem strange but at the same time, before I got my hands on my certificate, my mother would say to me whenever I would ask about my birth time that I was born exactly as the television in the room said, "Good morning America!"It does seem strange in your case, though, that a doctor would go to great care to write 8:03 when the actual time was a round-hour 8:00.
if that means anything

Don't go for things so small. Look at, say, Jupiter outward (or, actually, especially Mars transits across angles, which tend to be acute and obvious.sotonye wrote: Wed Aug 29, 2018 6:15 pmAnd I've never thought to really measure activity of transits to angles since, after the Sun conjoined my IC a few weeks ago, I didn't really experience anything. You probably have plenty of Mercury things happening in your life, so having a day seem like "a Mercury day" is probably not distinctive. Sun crossing the angle is likely to mean some form of you getting a little extra attention or having a heightened relationship to external authority for the day - again, it might be easy to miss.

I do have Neptune exactly squaring my ascendant on the 5th, would that produce any observable affect?Jim Eshelman wrote: Wed Aug 29, 2018 6:21 pmDon't go for things so small. And here I was thinking that anything making contact with an angle is likely to make something different, grand, something out of the ordinary happen lol now I know better.
