I'm not seeing any particularly angular planets. Her Neptune & Uranus are super conjunct, but I'm weary with that interpretation since entire generations of people probably have that. Her sun and moon sign interpretations would be my next go-to after attempting to look at angular planets. I'm only seeing some vague hits using just those tools.

What features should I use on this chart to guide my interpretation?

Aspects. Her Mercury is opposing that Uranus-Saturn partile conjunction by about a degree and Mars trines the conjunction by about 2°
Her Sun is trine her Moon by about a degree.
And so on. Start with the closest aspects. Conjunctions, oppositions and squares can go out to maybe 6°, trines and sextiles maybe 3°, and lesser aspects can go out to a degree.

First of all, there are two foreground planets: Jupiter is 7°30' before Ascendant; Venus is 6°46' past MC. Those are clear standouts in the chart.

I'd next consider the luminary signs, Cancer Sun and Scorpio Moon, along with the one striking close hard aspect combination, Mercury opposite Uranus-Neptune.

There's more, but thee set up the core.

Sorry, I had posted the wrong month. The month is January not July!
I've selected the most prominent features from each category:

Constellations: Capricorn (sun)
Angularity: Moon
Aspects: Moon Opposing Jupiter & Sun Conjunct Mercury

I'm looking for a common theme among these categories. Here is my interpretation:
Her moon-Jupiter desire for success, attraction to quality, elitism can be interpreted as a way to establish autonomy and independence in life. Her perception of autonomy is motivated who she believes is at the upper echelons of society and what their doing/how they are living. Because her moon is angular, she has no trouble conforming to that, and can/will pursue that.

Now her Sun Conjunct Mercury is very important, but its expression is being psychologicaly blocked, since it is not also angular (does this rule still apply with sun & moon angles?). How would Sun-Mercury expression look if it was blocked in this context?

And how is my interpretation going so far?

Most important signs: Capricorn Sun, Pisces Moon (don't leave out the Moon-sign)

Angularity: The total picture of the four foreground planets is this:
Moon on Asc 4°11'
Venus on Asc 7°38'
Mars on IC 9°40'
Jupiter (stationary) on Dsc 9°41'

So yes, rising Moon has the edge, over the pothers, though all four deserve broader consideration. There are strong classic feminine traits, strong broadly sensual traits, and a spirited, competitive zest for life and enthusiasm in these.

Of aspects, you got the Jupiter but missed Mars: Moon is opposite Jupiter 0°28' and square Mars 1°31'. Both are strong, dynamic, close, involving a luminary, and with all planets foreground. Sun-Mercury is close, sure, but not as close as more than half a dozen other aspects; for example, the 0°06' Moon-Mercury sextile is sizzling close and (though not dynamic) the 0°11' Venus-Pluto trine (with Venus foreground) is quite important.

Mostly, I notice that you skipped over the strongly feminine features of the charts - Moon and Venus aspects and Venus' angularity - and the vitality of the Mars + Jupiter coupling.

One doesn't always have to find a common theme. It's nice (and easier!) when one does, making the number of basic elements fewer; but some charts have three or four hard-to-coalesce things all super strong and truth is still that these have to coexist in the person.

In this case, though, the similarities of the lead factors are stronger. Though intellectually able, the chart is not particularly reason-driven. It's quite visceral and willing to live outside reasonableness. I agree with you that there is ambition and a love of finer things - not only the Moon-Jupiter opposition but the Pisces Moon - though Capricorn Sun brings an austerity, and I'm not sure how that will balance out in her. (Saturn is background, Jupiter foreground and, just maybe, that 0°01' mundane square between Mars and Jupiter is important, though you have their shared angularity regardless; so I'd lean toward her not overdoing the austerity side.)

She probably has some inner struggle between her strong autonomy needs, which you correctly saw, and the strong need to partner and be connected - Pisces Moon plus the strength of Moon and Venus. This leaning is made stronger by her native Venezuelan culture. One could add that having Jupiter, Venus, and Moon foreground inclines one to be comfortable with finding an easier way through life.

There is a tendency for it not to find open expression. Background Mercury tends to be someone who doesn't feel they have a chance to be heard or find expression. Background Sun (especially with its compliment, Moon, being foreground) is less inclined to find their own distinctive path and are especially adaptable and fluid on direction in response to physical, psychological, and social circumstances. Information needs are still linked to the ego-core.

But where does she live now? Is she in Boston? Well, that doesn't draw out the Sun-Mercury, but it does bring Moon and Venus even closer to the angles - Moon 1°11' below and Venus 2°09' above Asc.
