2017 solar return review

Well, it certainly was a Venus-Pluto themed year!
I had two serious romantic relationships, one that ended not long after my last birthday, and another that ended not long before this birthday.
It has been a year of new friendships, creating a stable home situation, music, and community.
So, contrary to Jim's prediction, it was not a marriage year for me.
Which is fine, because my long, slow divorce was only final a year and a half ago.
Romantically, it's been a transformative year for me. For the first time in a decade, I can admit that I'd really like to find lasting love with someone that is a good match for me. I feel like I've changed in terms of what I'm looking for from myself and others (more authenticity, vulnerability, and better treatment).
I may not meet my match this year (or maybe I already have--I noticed recently that I've got luminary aspects with Jim and a few other longtime friends, so maybe you all are my soulmates!) because this coming year, according to my SSR is going to be a Saturn Jupiter year of work, and financial responsibility, and saving money, and paying off debt.
I had been pondering getting out of town to avoid Saturn, but it seemed more prudent to stay in Portland and face the music.
I am a Saturnine, eat-my-vegetables-first kind of person, after all.
