By this I mean that there is an Irony that I have come about that goes along the lines of the cultures we like to learn about and discover in our life time may have actually come from ancestors in our past, unbeknownst to us.

I want to know if anyone else has seen or experienced this?

For example I have studied voodooism/voodon as a religion and I knew I had (through rumors) some connection to Africa. However as technology advanced and I looked through records and the family tree I traced not only African heritage (I know the members) and the DNA was traced back to the Ivory coast, which culturally was voodoo at the pre-slavery time [likely indentured servitude] that family line came from the Ivory coast.

I had a similar experience with Native American, which was spoken more through story but was actually confirmed in DNA as well.

Then I'd like to know if there is any astrology (ie a planet) that could rule over this irony? Or if there is any astrology perhaps in this that I am looking over?

In the early 90's I worked in the genealogy department of a very big library. I helped people from all over the globe trace thier ancestors.I looked into my own family tree as well.

The Irony is that as a baby I would eat dirt.

The planet in astrology that rules this ironically is not shown on your natal chart by a gylph.

I'm no master at this, but I have noticed some patterns...

Jupiter very often brings with it the heritage/ancestry/tradition motif. I've noticed people with foreground Jupiter, certain close Jupiter-X aspects (like Jupiter-Saturn), Sun in Sagittarius, etc seem to be more inclined to pursue and venerate ancestral knowledge than not. They're not the only ones that do it, but they seem to consistently do it.

I get sort of a different spin on this (Sun in Sag here). I naturally distance myself from my family - always have, despite them being welcoming - but I really strongly feel the "surrogate family" loyalty to groups that I affiliate myself with, and with those groups, I plainly see this motif operating naturally in me.

I have 2 close friends with Venus-Uranus aspects that seem to do this too. One's a Libra-Aquarius, the other is a Leo-Taurus, in case that matters.
I have a few other friends that are prominent Venus types that don't do this, and they don't have that Ve-Ur aspect.

I do think that Jupiter is ancestral, and I think that it is white washed, not by Jim in any means but Jupiter is connected to ancestry not only in kings but also chefitans emperors and etc. I think that when approaching this we fail to mention its diversity. Also I see too much civility in sag on paper vs in real life, but that may be due to civility being different culture to culture which again Is ironicly lacking in our sag description.

I myself have Venus-Uranus btw, but it's less noticable due to a double down Mars-Uranus and double down Mars-Venus. [Of course Jupiter/Sun and Pluto come even before that]. Interesting observation you have made however Mike.
