How to state birth data

When giving birth data, give them completely and without modifying. It is also preferable to give the source (so that levels of confidence can be established).

For example: According to my birth certificate, I was born October 10, 1954, 4:13 AM, Rochester, IN.

An astrologer creating the chart will look up longitude, latitude, and time zone information, and therefore would restate my birth data as: 1954 October 10, 4:13 AM CST, 41N04 86W13. (All astrologers have the references at hand to look this up in all but the most obscure situations.)
