13 deaths (including the shooter) from a mass shooting inside the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, CA involving a .45 caliber Glock semi-automatic hand gun (with an extra-large ammo magazine) and smoke bombs. Much panic, including people flying for the doors and out the windows. 25 other people were injured.

Seven of those killed were college students, one was a police officer responding, and one was the shooter, and the other four included the bouncer an two military veterans. Motives are not entirely clear, though the shooter had a troubled pre-military past and is suspected of psychiatric problems connected to his military service.
