Jim, check me on this:
I show a longitude of t. Jupiter on Dec 1 2018, 6:30 PM at 10,13 Scorpio, and my Natal East Point at an appeared longitude 10,27 Scorpio. BUT, if I understand your teachings, in order to make sure t. Jupiter is partile cnj my Natal East Point, I have to check the RA of t. Jupiter (243,25) with the RA of my Natal East Point (242,29)---correct? Thanks

Great question. This is tricky, but made easier by one of Matthew's add-ons.

To review for others, the complications here are (1) EP contacts need to be taken in RA, but (2) RA is subject to precession so you can't compare the transiting RA to your natal EP RA.

One way to do it - the way most accessible to you - is to calculate a chart for the 12/1 date and time, click Pages, and select "Mundane Data Large" (Matthew's custom add-on). Look in the column for Jupiter culminating (Culm) and anti-culminating (ACulm) - they're the same, and also what you want for EP/WP. This is subject to some small errors in timing the exact crossing (there is a more rigorous way to do this, but not readily available to you).

What you will see in the report is that Jupiter crosses these angles when its longitude is 10°20' Scorpio. Your EP is 10°28' Scorpio. Jupiter is approximately 0°08' from your EP.

Sun is also conjunct your Moon at the time and Mars square your Moon - you are perhaps concerned that you will draw some significant attention that will not be particularly pleasant. I think the Jupiter transit tips the evening's combat your direction. If there are no other factors involved, I'd summarize this as "uncomfortable interaction and perhaps combat, with you favored.
