Hello,
I'm wondering which Astrology Software do you use, and which one do you recommend? I don't want to get interpretations from the software. I would just use it as a calculational tool.
I'm attached to astro-dot-com, but it is so uncomfortable for changing current location, editing birth data, checking SR and MR...
Sorry If this question has been already asked. Also, if it is not the correct forum, mods feel free to edit it. Many thanks!

Re: Astrology Software
Many of us use astro.com as well, and some of us use other software, mostly Solar Fire.
See here for the most recent discussion of software.

Re: Astrology Software
Many people here rely on Astro.com. It's limited yet free. (Do you have a personal account? I think you get to set personal customizations better.)
Many of us use Solar Fire. It's the primary professional grade calculating software.

Thank you very much for your suggestions.
Let me propose an app for iOS: Time Nomad (it works with Sidereal)
Which app do you recommend for MacOs? (I would prefer not to run a virtual machine).
Many thanks!!

Solar Fire keeps promising that they will have a Mac version "real soon now," but no date has been announced.ArtGoddess wrote: Thu Dec 20, 2018 1:53 am Which app do you recommend for MacOs? (I would prefer not to run a virtual machine).

Re: Astrology Software
I think iPhemeris is probably the best available app for Mac. It has really cool transit calendars that I do still use for quick-and-broad looks at large blocks of time in addition to generally being a good app.
It doesn't do mundoscopes, of course so you'll still need outside help for that. I also find its solunar returns aren't so hot - it can vary as much as 10 minutes of real time from Solar Fire (so nearly 3 degrees on the angles sometimes). I wouldn't use it for that either. But for natals, for progressions, for most kinds of transits, it's rather good. The interface is good too.
Eventually I'm going to finish writing the front end for my software and put that online as a fully-fledged sidereal web application, but believe me, I'll be posting all over this forum when that gets released

Re: Astrology Software
I think Morinus software is one of the best because it has Primary Direction for free.

Re: Astrology Software
Primary Directions are a feature of Solar Fire also.
