A gay bar called the UpStairs Lounge in the French Quarter in New Orleans, during a celebration at the end of Pride Weekend. 32 people died. The cause was evidently arson but officially remains undetermined, but is not believed to have been a hate crime. This was the deadliest attack known in a gay club in the U.S. until the Pulse Nightclub shootings.

The event chart alone is staggeringly intense. A 0°21' Moon-Uranus opposition is exactly aligned with the meridian, paran the setting Sun, all very tight. Sun, in turn, is ecliptically square a Mars-Pluto opposition. Just off the angles is a near-partile Saturn-Pluto mundane square. -- After that, the chart aren't spectacular except that the Day timing off the Capsolar is tragically exact.
