Starting the new month.
Mason Jar Ranch opening in San Jacinto
Posted: Sun Mar 03, 2019 1:41 pm
by Jim Eshelman
Here's an example of a local event, of community-wide importance, that simply did not show in the charts in any way I'd expect.
Marion's sister and brother-in-law own a successful brewery in Menifee, CA called Mason Jar. The nearby town of San Jacinto is trying to build itself up, so the town offered them a sweetheart deal to open the restaurant and pub they've been wanting to open - giving them premier privileges on taxes, offering large cash subsidies (this is all documented in the newspapers, I'm not leaking anything), with the expectation that the city will recoup about 150% of its expenditures in the first couple of years. Mason Jar Ranch (the restaurant and pub) are the centerpiece of the town's renewal (in addition to a casino opening nearby). There has been enormous excitement recently. The Food Network then approached them asking to film a show about their opening, offering additional help in terms of staff training and organizational support to get them up and running months before they planned.
Yesterday (3/2) was the grand opening, complete with film crews, local beauty pageant winners (at least, I guess that's who "Mr. & Miss San Jacinto" with the tiaras were). Marion and I were sitting inside near the back when the doors opened at 4:30 PM to perhaps 200 people lined up outdoors (waiting in light rain!) eager to get in. The vibe was positive, people kept smiling and enjoying themselves all nights, and when we left about three hours later there were still people lined up to get in.
All in all, this was one of the greatest evenings San Jacinto has had, at least in recent memory.
And the Capsolar Quotidian? It's Ascendant conjoins ingress Saturn and Mercury! Not at all what I'd expect. The CanQ is as bad, the only close angularity being Asc square ingress Saturn.
Transits to the angles are better mostly in the sense that they aren't so bad. Transiting Sun crossed the local Capsolar IC, which is worth some cameras and lights.
Eventally (after spinning enough charts), one finds that the Arisolar Quotidian has IC on ingress Jupiter within a few minutes and MC within 2° of progressed Venus; but one shouldn't have to work so hard to find a clean, accurate hit (especially when the CapQ and CanQ are plenty noisy on their own). - Even the LibQ had Ascendant within 2° of ingress Saturn (that's three out of four)! As far as I know, nothing suitable awful happened in the area the same day, e.g., we were driving too and from and perfectly ordinary traffic and no breaking regional news.
Alabama Tornadoes

March 3, 2019, 3:03 PM, Opelika, AL
America's deadliest tornado streak in five years (with more deaths yesterday than those from tornadoes all of last year) swept through Alabama this morning. (I'm glad to have seen Steve online and seemingly well already this morning.) The Lee County sheriff described the impact as being "as if someone had taken a blade and just scraped the ground."
At least 23 people died, half of them in Opelika (which is probably the best location for studying the event, as it was the hardest hit). The first tornado warning was issued at 2:58 PM, with the first damage reports at 3:03 PM. (At 3:03 PM, Mars was in partile square to Ascendant, Moon was 1° above Descendant, and Uranus was 4° past MC.)
CAPSOLAR: Mercury is 0°38' from EP conjunct Saturn 2°34' from the angle. Mercury is also 28' from mundane square to Uranus.
CAPLUNAR: Similar planets: Uranus 1°07' from IC, Moon 1°49' from EP, and Saturn and Pluto conjoined more widely foreground; but also, closest of all, Venus 0°04' from MC (square Uranus). It's descriptive enough, though not really typical of tornadoes per se.
DAY: Transiting Saturn was 0°09' from square Capsolar MC, a devastating, deadly timer. CanQ MC hit the transiting Venus-Uranus. Finally we get the signature planet, Neptune, in its transits to the Cansolar, 0°07' from WP. Saturn and Neptune, therefore, form the Bridge by Saturn's transit of a Capsolar angle and Neptune's transit of a Cansolar angle.

AFAIC, when an outer planet malefic like Saturn in this example is partile transiting a Capsolar or Cansolar angle, it's a dangerous time frame, particularly when there are weather warnings issued.

Sao Paulo school shooting

March 13, 2019, 9:30 AM, Sao Paulo, Brazil
At a state school named Suzano, two teenagers began shooting with two pistols, killing at last eight people (seven of them students). Motive remains unclear. The "approximately 9:30 AM" time is from BBC.
As happens more often than not, the weekly lunar ingress and the CapQ tell the story pretty much by themselves.

Jakarta - crashing pole derails train

March 10, 2019, time unknown, Jakarta, Indonesia
On the outskirts of Jakarta las week, large electric pole fell rolling over two cars and damaging a third. As of 12:55 PM, the clearing of passengers was still ongoing, so it must have been in the mid to late morning.
YEAR: The Capsolar has a Sun-Uranus square closely angular.
MONTH: Mars is less than 3° from Midheaven in the Caplunar.
DAY: I'm betting nobody was hurt, even though I can't confirm it by news reports: CapQ MC was exactly opposite Jupiter. (There was plenty of "shake-up" for the area, over a longer view, with transiting Uranus conjunct Capsolar MC and Pluto conjunct Capsolar Dsc.) The CanQ adds the obligatory Mercury: CanQ M conjoins ingress Mercury.
More Moon-Mars? Or Saturn-Pluto?

CNN observed this morning that this last weekend that President Trump's tweets this last weekend were way beyond the usual. As they summarized, "The President found a lot to be upset about over the weekend," understandable with a Saturn-Pluto conjunction rising in his current Demi-SLR. While the rest of the world was talking about New Zealand, Trump attacked John McCain again, threatened Saturday Night Live with a federal investigation, and several other things beyond the usual.
Nebraska floods

We know the astrological pattern of floods (see SMA Ch 14) but they're devilishly hard to pin down on "when and where," since they often stretch across time and, especially, across space.
Right now, Nebraska is breaking records for flooding. It seems spread across much of the state and will continue another week. It isn't limited to to Nebraska (JSAD, how are things in your 'hood?) since 14 states along the Mississippi are affected. Flood disaster records going back 50 years are being knocked off the books. Other locations like Louisville, KY and Waterloo, IA are among the places breaking records.
A quick glance at maps
viewtopic.php?f=46&t=2850#p21184 show the Caplunar with Jupiter angular across central Nebraska, Saturn square MC down the middle of Nebraska and the other plains states (this is the only place deaths have resulted), and Pluto and Moon lines square angles straddling the Mississippi River's entire length. The new Canlunar has Jupiter arcing across affected areas farther east, and Mars-Neptune converging in Nebraska. Meanwhile, this is another example of the Libsolar's exact Moon-Mars conjunction being conjoined by transiting Mars the last few days.
Utretcht train shooting

March 16, 2019, 10:45 AM, Utrecht, Netherlands
A short while ago, "Three people died and nine were injured... in a shooting on a tram in the Dutch city of Utrecht" that was a possible terrorist attack (NY Times). I suspect a religious-cultural motive (aka probably terrorist) because the shooting occurred as Jupiter had just set, strongly aspected.
CAPSOLAR: Mercury (conjunct Saturn) on MC, Moon and Uranus rising. Transportation tragedies are the most likely event in this area this year.
CAPLUNAR: Dormant but with a 0°07' Moon-Mars mundane square about 8° off angles (with Uranus: surprise violence).
CANLUNAR: Neptune exactly setting: Chaos, panic. Sun-Mercury conjunction nearby. (Notice how the Mercury theme keeps hanging in there.)
DAY: Tragic: CapQ MC conj. t Neptune 0°52', Asc op. t Saturn 0°36'. CanQ MC conj. t Mars 0°09' (sq. Cansolar Mercury: more trains!) while t Neptune crosses Cansolar IC 0°19'.

Mueller has reported

Eagle has landed! The Mueller report was just delivered to the attorney general.
End of Act I.
From the current forecast based on today's Liblunar:

Liblunar
Moon square Pluto (2°07') and
Moon opposite Uranus are destabilizing... Besides the usual list of natural disasters, Moon aspecting Uranus and Pluto have pushed gripping, edge-of-the-seat sagas including major movements by the people to claim freedom, both tragic and joyous (Boston Tea Party, end of prohibition, the Selma marches, the Watts and Rodney King riots in Los Angeles, the Stonewall riots, Woodstock, and San Francisco's Summer of Love). Also, history records culturally griping abrupt shifts in leadership (the murders of John Kennedy, Indira Gandhi, and Yitzhak Rabin, Nixon's resignation, etc.). Whether this sort of event erupts openly this week, a deep groundswell is building in mass mind for exactly this type of eruption.
March 23, CapQ Ascendant conjoins transiting Sun, which remains close to the angle for several days either side. This will be a trigger day for pending events, and likely will concentrate attention on the president...
From Trump's Feb 27 SLR:

With this February 27 Lunar Return, a hammer drops, a blow is felt... Threats loom. Stress mounts. Cornered, one looks for an escape route.
Mars-Pluto months are suspenseful and tense with an air of crisis or emergency. Most often, one is forced to take responsibility (or blame) for one's own actions. Often one's own rules are abandoned in the face of pressing circumstances, in a spirit of lawlessness where practical necessity wins out over formality...
'
From his March 14 Demi-SLR:
Saturn and Pluto rise conjoined..., meaning accumulated burdens and pressures. The world places heavy demands on President Trump's time, strength, and resources (it takes from him) while it slams the no-nonsense gavel of dismantling change. These planets isolate and alienate, cutting him off from things and from people. He is alone, bearing a great weight.
Saturn and Pluto aspect several natal planets, showing parts of his life to which they bring their crushing pressure. Saturn squares his Jupiter within 0°20' (and Pluto squares it more widely): These bring low the uplifted and take from him Jupiter things such as wealth, prestige, esteem, and reputation. Pluto opposes his Saturn closely (as does Saturn, more widely): The former breaks up existing structures and failed patterns, challenging stability and threatening security; the latter engages him in a survival tug-of-war with his environment.
More widely, Pluto opposes his Venus, which is natally conjunct Saturn. This is another aspect of separation, transforming close friendships and intimacies (often by terminating them). Saturn opposes his Mercury, cutting him off from communication or, at least, leaving him feeling unheard, criticized, and discouraged... the combination of Saturn and Pluto pounding on Saturn, Mercury, and Venus compounds pressure and isolates him in many simultaneous ways.
Moon opposes Jupiter within a degree and both square Sun and Mercury. These are atop his natal Sun and Moon. No matter how background, transiting Jupiter partile conjunct natal Moon must be taken as a favorable mark. It allows a softer landing than he'd experience without it, some benefit of patronage or peerage. The key aspect in this set is likely Mercury-Jupiter, which highlights the art of the deal: a business advantage from nimble words, canny planning, and a grace of entitlement. He may well find himself enmeshed in legal proceedings. (Mercury-Jupiter was a major factor in the charts for Richard Nixon's resignation and Bill Clinton's impeachment.)
During this time, transiting Saturn square natal Jupiter balances with transiting Jupiter opposite natal Sun. These reek of politics and perhaps mean that he escapes with a close call but at a price. The assault likely will climax within a day of March 24 when transiting Mars conjoins his Midheaven.
Timing isn't too bad on that. Transiting Mars was 0°57' from his natal MC when the egg dropped.

UPDATE: At 4:35 PM the DOJ acknowledged it had received the report. This makes the angles essentially identical to Trump's natal angles, with Mars minutes from MC. (For the exact minute, if taken as accurate, Mars was 0°04' from MC.)
Rate inversion

By a remarkable coincidence, two remarkable things happened yesterday (March 22) at 4:35 PM EDT.
In Washington, DC, that's the time the Department of Justice announced that it had just received Robert Mueller's report.
Coincidentally (since they didn't have time to react to that news), the 3-year T-bill rate crossed over and became larger than the concurrent 10-year T-bill rate the exact same minute.
This shifting long-term confidence to short-term confidence is a critical economic indicator that, historically, has almost always signaled a recession within about 18 months IIRC. For example, the last time it happened was in 2007.
It worries me a bit that this occurred under a Neptune + Mercury-Jupiter lunar ingress.
With Pluto transiting a Capsolar angle, the one angular CapQ planet was transiting Sun - showing primarily that the real focus of attention that hour (as forecast in my monthly forecast) was on the president.
