Surprisingly weak Saturn transit to Mars

Post by Mike V »

I just under went a Saturn semisquare to natal Mars that I've been dreading for the past few months - it was exact on Feb 25 2019.
Honestly, it felt like essentially nothing happened - although I'm aware it will make another 2 passes later on this year.
The themes of struggle against control, competition, and challenging work have been present anyway. It seems like this transit just blurred into the larger context of my Saturn Return period.

My SLR for this period was mostly Pluto-Venus, which fit well. I also had a Jupiter transit to r. Venus that left 1* orb right around the peak of Saturn-Mars, so I was expecting an abrupt tonal shift.

I'm curious what you think about this. I'm not used to "not noticing" Saturn transits, and I was watching closely for this one.

I have stood witness to many malefic partile transits to planets (not lights) in my life which produced absolutely no manifestations. I have gotten so spoiled with un-noted manifested transits, I need to see tight chart angles with planets, aspects and/or lights involved before I expect/see clear/noted manifestations. Age may play a big part with me (71) not seeing/feeling a-lot of my planetary transits. Basically, I am only on the lookout for 'outstanding incident' astrological factors.

On the hand, thst loses maybe 75% of the value of transits. I'm not so interested in events except as one kind of result. I'm mostly interested in the description if someone's experience of their world and shifting and unlocking of themselves. Events often are failures in thst they arent necessary if one has the inner osychological shift. Events are the universe's emergency method to compel one to have a particular kind of experience or make a particular kind of inner shift.

This is orobably why most people feel these fix transits more strongly on the second pass than the first.

I was considering this. Perhaps I just prematurely ruled out the possibility that I was already doing "what I needed to do" for this transit, and so nothing "leaked."
