Hi all
The past SSR year has brought me great joy i.e. my wedding day (sept 29) but also the greatest sorrow.I am now recovering from one of the most traumatic incidents in my life. Unfortunately it is perfectly timed with astrological symbolism which is good for learning purposes. So I will share it here
I have just suffered a miscarriage after a failed cycle of IVF. The cycle started on March 29, the miscarriage on May 13 when I started bleeding, although I would have lost the baby the week prior to that. The operation was April 29, all of this took place in Haugesund, Norway, where I went for treatment as it is cheaper than seeking treatment in the UK.
Not only that, but the flight to Norway was horrendous, I got caught in a massive pilot strike (leaving 1,700 passengers stranded) and my flight was cancelled. I had to travel 8 hours on the bus to get to the clinic and I wasn't physically well, still on injections. My husband and I also nearly lost the plane due to a massive accident on the only connecting bridge to the a airport on the way back, we had to phone the airport and they kept the gate open for us for an extra 15 minutes! The whole trip was a race against time and overcoming bizarre hurdles (such as finding rats in the apartment).
Everything about the trip was nightmarish. Five embryos stopped dividing and did not survive past 48 hours (despite my eggs being graded "excellent" by the embryologist). It was a trip marked by sorrow and death.
I should have looked at the astrology behind this before undergoing this ivf cycle (instead I purposely decided NOT TO as my best friend accused me of living in fear of the stars, I should have known better).
I note a NASTY moon-saturn transit which started near the time as I began the treatment (from 1 April to 29 May) then
t. Saturn 25,19 Sag
r Venus 25,51 Gem
r Moon 25,50 Virgo.
Saturn is also afflicting venus from 25 March to 5 June. So not a good time for conception and it all points to loss.
This was also my first pregnancy ever. I am devastated and I am now on compassionate leave from work. I feel like an empty shell.

Re: Miscarriage
I'm so sorry. A former partner and I experienced her miscarriage 10 years ago, and the roller coaster of trying to conceive with fertility treatments and IVF, and it was quite traumatic. I can only imagine how hard it must be for you.
My partner had t. Saturn conjunct r. Venus, Pluto, Uranus, on the MC, and r. Neptune on the AC for her lunar return a couple days before.

I am soo sorry Freya, this is heartbreaking.
And the travels were awful, you so do not deserve this.
Please know that this is not the end, you are able to conceive by Ivf.
Wishing you strength, love and peace. Flo

I am so sorry for your loss Freya and realize the sorrow you are going through with the Saturn transit. I can only offer you by knowing there will be better times in your future.

Re: Miscarriage
Freya, I am so sorry to hear about your ordeal, but also grateful that you shared the striking astrological particulars.
While the Saturn transit to your Moon-Venus is the clear, unambiguous indicator, you might like to know (as matching the emotional whirls you surely have been going through) that your May 3 Demi-Lunar for Haugesund has transiting Neptune the degree of Ascendant and your Neptune the degree of Midheaven.
Neptune is a significant player. Your (primary) progressed IC for May 13 was 5°34' Sagittarius, within minutes of your Neptune. Meanwhile, progressed Mars at 1°35' Scorpio was on your natal IC. These two contacts were specifically in the IC, perhaps suggesting matters of home, family,. and parentage.
Progressions also suggest a positive follow-up. Your progressed Venus at 8°33' Leo is within a degree of trine progressed Jupiter at 9°13' Sagittarius (applying, meaning the peak and most of the aspect are still ahead of you).

Re: Miscarriage
Perhaps it would be better not to discuss astrology with your "best" friend and just let her think whatever makes her happy. And consider finding a friend or two who is willing to support you rather than push her own agenda.Freya wrote: Wed May 15, 2019 11:38 am I should have looked at the astrology behind this before undergoing this ivf cycle (instead I purposely decided NOT TO as my best friend accused me of living in fear of the stars, I should have known better).
Again, I'm so sorry.
Re: Miscarriage
Thank you Jim, at least I have something tolook forward to. I was thinking of trying again in September if I can find te money. I haven't seen any negative transits however I am not sure how you calculated the progressions. Do you always check progressions? Feeling quite hopeless at the moment as it has hit me very hardJim Eshelman wrote: Wed May 15, 2019 5:43 pm

Re: Miscarriage
Freya, I'm very sorry for the awful things you went through. You and your husband really don't deserve this. This is a very harsh manifestation of Saturn transiting your Moon-Venus square.
Keeping you and your husband in my thoughts and prayers. Wishing you strength, courage, hope and healing.
