My husband's SSR

I am looking to see if my husband is likey to become a father this year, as we are going through IVF due to a problem with my husband's sperm quality. The doctor said it was the cause of my early miscarriage and it is likely to happen again if it does not improve. Hence they will not rely on a sperm sample alone, and pick out the best to use for treatment (the first sample to be given on 30th September 2019, SLR saturn foreground)

My husband was born on August 27 1972 in Southampton, England at 14.15

He has Jupiter, Venus and Neptune foreground this coming SSR. Not sure what to make of Neptune, but it seems that he has a very good SSR, matching the symbolism of a birth?

As he is the one bringing the issue to the table, if I have calculated the progressions correctly, the best time for him to produce the most fertile sperm sample is in November, progressed moon squares natal pluto on 15 november 2019 (from oct 30th to 30 November)

Jupiter is partile the south point in his demi solar of 27 November and trines venus

The SLR relocated to Athens for November 9th, has the sun foreground, otherwise nothing remarkable

I hope I have caluclated this right, but the best time for him to leave a sample to be frozen would be November 2019?

There are hard statistics that childbirth tends to occur when Venus, Jupiter, and Moon (natal or transiting) are in Lunar Return angles, that Mars and Neptune (natal and transiting) avoid the angles, and that Saturn is indifferent.

There are no separate studies of solar returns, but it's a good guess that they behave the same way. (I've never looked specifically, though it shouldn't be hard to find a few hundred, or even thousand, child birth dates; and not enough work has been done on distinguishing mother from father charts, in case there is a difference.)

Does the same apply with conception? Do we look at Pluto at all? I can’t reverse engineer the time of conception necessarily by looking at the angular benefics on the SLR, and working 9 months backwards... I could get pregnant in April with a frozen sample given four months prior for example, if that was the best one produced.

It’s really hard to work this one out! :o

I would expect Pluto to be angular in the lunar and/or demi-lunar for conception.

Jim would you consider his SSR neptune angular? If so would it outweigh angular jupiter and venus?

SSR moon aspects jupiter and uranus but it’s a trine maybe I shouldn’t attach weight to that?

Not at all. It might help if you would turn off proportionate houses so you don't see the kind of distortion of space that makes you think that. Transiting Neptune is almost exactly at the 3rd cusp - a cadent cusp. It's at the weakest part of the circle, exactly where Neptune is most often found in the lunar returns of childbirth.

I was trying to give general counsel on how to look at the charts, rather than read them directly. Here, though, are the angularities. Notice that the transiting planets are in his favor and the natal planets - his mood and reactions - are not so much. However, I take his natal Moon acutely angular as a good sign. I have used bold for the closest, strongest factors.

r Saturn on Dsc -5°23'
t Jupiter on Asc -2°45'
r Pluto on MC +1°01'
r Moon on IC +1°18'

t Venus sq. Asc 2°07'
r Neptune on Dsc 8°31'

Here are aspects among the foreground planets:

r Moon-Pluto op. 0°17'
t Jupiter op. r Saturn 2°38' in mundo
t Jupiter sq. r Pluto 3°46' in mundo
t Jupiter sq. r Moon 4°03' in mundo

Here are other partile aspects worth noting:

t Venus conj. r Mars 0°20'
SSR moon aspects jupiter and uranus but it’s a trine maybe I shouldn’t attach weight to that?
I wouldn't count the trine at all. SSR Moon squares Uranus about 2°, though, and that's a strong aspect. Not sure that it's related to the current question, but it will be a major feature of his year.

Thank you for helping Jim. I had not realised my default settings had cahnged the houses from Campanus!

They're Campanus cusps, but the "proportionate houses" display makes them harder to see I think. (Perhaps not harder for you, but it seemed it was misleading.) If I get the chance this morning, I'll create two side-by-side graphics to show you the visual difference it makes and you can decide which you like better.

The setting I meant was Chart Options | Display Options | Proportionate Houses, which you have set to ON and I'm proposing you set to OFF. When it is ON, the houses are spaces according to the number of degrees of zodiac in them. When OFF, Campanus houses are all exactly 1/12 of the circle, meaning they each show 30° of prime vertical. This has the advantage IMHO that the horizon is always horizontal and the meridian is always vertical: The chart looks exactly the way space around earth looks.

The first illustration below is with proportionate houses ON, the second with them OFF. Otherwise, it's the same chart, with Neptune on the 3rd cusp.

Thank you Jim, I do appreciate that. Yes, it is harder for me, not good with spacial awareness, I have slight dysparaxia.... the new

I have the samples up now.
