Re: Deadliest School Massacres
A very sad thing about allllllllll of those events is the fear that now sits in childrens hearts when they go to a place that should be safe.
Part of my job working in the School library is to teach the children drills. Fire drills used to scare me as a kid 40 years ago. Bomb drills were terrifying too. Todays children have about five different drills.
When the loud speak says...
This is not a drill
This is a lockdown go to your designated safe place in your room.....
And you hear noises in the hall
And someone trying to open the door
And you dont know if it's really a drill or if you are really in danger.
psychological terror is a very real thing and there is now a generation being brought up thinking that this is normal.
Having to hide 30 kids in the corner for 15 minutes was the worst feeling Ive felt in a long time.
