A Malaysian airliner reportedly with 295 people on board has crashed in Ukraine near the Russian border, on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur according to a tweet from Malaysian Airlines at 10:36 AM - 17 Jul 2014 There is a huge plume of smoke being shown on the news.

Don't know what time zone that tweet shows, The location is near the city of Kremenchuk.

Using the take-off site, the charts are totally "second verse, same as the first."

Last word I have is that they don't actually know where it went down, only that they last had contact over eastern Ukraine. (But if there is smoke, it's probably actually there.) Since it was Malaysia Airlines, I think they should start the search in Chicago.[/quote]

There are photos of pieces of a fuselage showing the Malaysian flag on the ground in the Ukraine being shown on Twitter, and Russia or Russian leaning forces have been shooting down Ukranian jets over the last month or so.

It may be Russia has shot themselves in the foot.

Most of the films of the plume of black smoke are coming from the town of Shakhtyorsk in Ukraine.

Malaysia Airlines has just released the following statement:

"Malaysia Airlines confirms it received notification from Ukrainian ATC that it had lost contact with flight MH17 at 1415 (GMT) at 30km from Tamak waypoint, approximately 50km from the Russia-Ukraine border.

"Flight MH17 operated on a Boeing 777 departed Amsterdam at 12.15pm (Amsterdam local time) and was estimated to arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 6.10 am (Malaysia local time) the next day.

"The flight was carrying 280 passengers and 15 crew onboard.

"More details to follow."

Shakhtyorsk in Russia is in Sakhalin Oblast, listed as 142E6. I think this can't be right. (It's on Russia's east coast.) I think this must mean Shakhtersk, Ukraine, near the Russian border48N03, 38E28, though this isn't all that close to Kremencug (49N04, 33E25). What location shall we use?

This chart is extremely important! It shows the Cansolar valid from 365d 5h 46m earlier, with the Sun less than 1' from entering Cancer anew... but the old chart was still valid. This is an excellent example of the idea that Sidereal ingresses have no "cusp" or "bleed." The Mercury-Uranus 5' square on the angle is especially characteristic of aircraft disasters BTW.

As well, it substantiates Donald Bradley's determination of the SVP. When his "Unveiling a New Tool!" article was published, he acknowledged that some additional tweaking could be needed. So far, I haven't seen any such need, unless it be by decimals of a second of arc, which would be hard to detect without absolutely painstakingly exact cases of timing and location, with similarly painstakingly exact statistics.

In short, the Synetic Vernal Point is it!

The site was nearest Hirabove, Ukraine, at 48N08'17", 38E38'20". This will produce charts very similar to the ones given earlier, with minor differences.

Contact with the flight was lost at 14:15 GMT, the time I originally used (5:15 PM EEDT).
