Southern California earthquake
Posted: Thu Jul 04, 2019 10:38 am
by Jim Eshelman
The largest earthquake I've felt for years just rolled through at 10:34 AM (7/4/2019). All is well. I'm on the 3rd floor and felt it rolling the building around for about 20 seconds (a first movement, a pause, then probably another 10 seconds). I'll post more when full data is posted on moment and epicenter.
A little later: USGS lists a 6.6 magnitude quake near Searles Valley, CA July 4, 2019, 17:33:48 UT, 35N42'18",117W30'29". I've never heard of the place, it's near the southern end of Death Valley. - Working the chart for the epicenter:
The total solar eclipse a couple of days ago has accelerated tides, including land-tugs, worldwide, which commonly increases landshift activity, though there is nothing to attach it particularly to this location geophysically (it was about 27° off the meridian in azimuth at totality). I'm fascinated, though, by how active the PVP aspects are for this event, all but one of them being quite accurate.
From the location and the charts, I'm expecting we'll find there was minimal damage and just a lot of emotional shakeup despite the magnitude. If that's true, then several of these charts will get a higher score.
Year: Capsolar [+2]
(If it weren't for the PVP aspects, which are quite exact, this would be a vague chart; as it is, it's not bording at all.)

Vancouver earthquake

Apparently there was a large quake near Vancouver late yesterday also. A 6.2 quake occurred July 4, 2019, 4:30:44 UT, 51N13'19'', 130W30'54''.
The area has been vulnerable to shocks for a year: Dormant Capsolar, then Cansolar with Uranus on MC (and Mercury rising, whatever that might imply). The Arisolar put Neptune on IC.
The June 19 Caplunar has Saturn on WP 0°07' and Pluto square MC 0°35' opposite Mercury-Mars (conjoined 34' and also in orb of square MC): Very busy chart. Then the Canlunar yesterday put Neptune 0°02' (!) from square MC.
The CanQ is again the chief timer. It's angles are exactly those of the Caplunar. Transiting Pluto squares MC 0°46', transiting Saturn is on WP 0°42'. Transits to the Cansolar itself within 2° include Uranus on MC (square ingress Mars) and Mars on EP (square ingress Uranus), just like the Southern California CanQ for today.

OK, that was a pre-shock. A bigger quake hit tonight: magnitude 7.1, near Ridgeview, CA (essentially the same place), July 5, 2018, 8:19:52 PM PDT, 35N45'57'', 117W36'18''
This one occurred with Saturn exactly rising (0°19' above Asc), Mercury 0°04' from WP, and Sun, Mars, Pluto, and Uranus near angles. It also caused some damage: Homes were lost, for example.

Fort Lauderdale area (Plantation) explosion

This just in... no time to finish tracking and examining now, but jotting what I have in the first few minutes. An explosion at a shopping center (in a pizza restaurant) has resulted in "multiple patients" being rushed for treatment.
The Fountains shopping in Plantation, FL. Date today. Time unknown so far. Very large, ears-ringing explosion with blinding light. CNN just called it a gas explosion.
LATER: ABC News says the explosion occurred "just before 11:30 AM." This puts the Jupiter-Neptune square on the angles.
CAPSOLAR. Mars squares Ascendant 0°42', Pluto is on EP, Saturn is barely more than 3° from Ascendant, with a wider-angular Mercury-Uranus mundane square.
ARISOLAR. Pluto is 0°51'from Asc, Sun square Pluto and Ascendant. (So far, I'm wondering why this wasn't a much worse event than it was.)
CANLUNAR. Uranus 2° from Dsc, Mercury 2° from MC. Some Mars plus Moon op. Pluto.
CAPQ. MC square s Saturn 0°00., t Pluto on Dsc 0°29'.

A significant after-shock this morning. (I had forgotten to set my alarm clock so actually slept right through it and woke 9 minutes later to my "you have to be out the door now!" alarm - so it mustn't have been so bad, though friends in town posted that they felt it hard.)
I won't even work this up, but here are the data:
July 12, 2019, 13:11:37 UT (6:11:37 AM PDT), near Ridgecrest, CA (35N38'17'', 117W35'06'')
It occurred in the immediate aftermath of sunrise. There have seemed to be continuing strong gravitational factors in this series of quakes, and this seems another example of that. Here are the angularities at the time of the quake itself:

Someone just wrote me that today is the anniversary of the 1977 blackout, which occurred at 8:37 PM. I wonder if there are similarities.
I have a thread on prior blackouts here:
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=1016 - I'll take a look at it all again. Meanwhile, here's this one:
The blackout (color black = Saturn) occurred exactly as Saturn crossed Eastpoint (0°45'). It's the day of Sun opposite Pluto with Mars barely out of partile phase to Uranus (though other Mars-Uranus appears in the charts below). Moon had recently risen - I'm looking at a lot of gravitational and electromagnetic phenomena this month, a degree or so past Jupiter (except, mundanely, the conjunction was 0°20'). Moon-Jupiter conjoined Rasalhague, the brightest star in Ophiuchus. FWIW, Mirach (Beta Andromedae) was exactly on IC, not a good showing since it is traditionally a cheerful, happy star.

Hurricane Barry

July 13, 2019, "in the afternoon," Intercoastal City, LA
Tropical Storm Barry has been drenching Louisiana for days and early today made landfall as a tropical storm after briefly rising to Category 1 hurricane status (75 mph 1-minute sustained winds). It is now reduced to a tropical cyclone.
Several days ago, Barry dumped 6-10 inches of rain on New Orleans, causing floods. (People were rowing canoes down the street. Storm surge was high. The Mississippi River was several feet above its usual level. Power outages affected tens of thousands of people.
A time of "in the afternoon" apparently means early afternoon, since a 1:30 PM Pacific (3:30 PM Central) news report said it made landfall "earlier this afternoon." I'll guess 1 PM. - The charts are quite excellent until the usual day charts effectively evaporate triggering the importance of the minor quotidians.

A KFC exploded about two hours after closing. The time is from a time-stamped video, and NPR reported the similar "about 12:30 AM."
In the CAPSOLAR (Year), Pluto on EP (0°28').
In the ARISOLAR (Quarter), Saturn rises 0°57' for Eden (conjunct Pluto).
The LIBLUNAR (Week) is the chart to see! Check out its mundoscope: Saturn and Pluto rising (+2°58' and -1°18', respectively) opposite Sun (Sun-Saturn is 0°32'), with a little Uranus, all right on angles.
DAY: Capsolar Quotidian Asc sq. ingress Uranus (1°52'), EP op. ingress Mercury (1°09') and transiting Saturn (1°27'). Transiting Pluto conj. Capsolar EP (1°28').

East coast media has reported "late morning" while Fox news said "just before 2 PM." Local area media said early this afternoon.
Disregarding Fox News outlying data point, I suspect it was between Noon and 1 PM Local time, so between 1 and 2 PM on the East Coast.

Announced by Pres Trump July 18, 2019, about 3:30 PM.
The USS Boxer destroyed an Iranian drone in the straits of Hormuz that was within 1000 (feet, some reports say yards) of the ship and made what was called a threatening approach. This happened about 10PM local time.

From this week's forecast:'
To heighten the sense of crisis, transiting MARS is in orb of CapQ Ascendant all week (as transiting SUN stays conjunct Q EP). On July 18, with Mars angular, URANUS crosses CapQ MC. It will be a threatening, explosive day.
From the new Cansolar's brief forecast:
New threats are sharper, more reality based: Cansolar Moon squares Uranus (0°19') for the world. Moon opposes Mars in mundo for Washington.
Sheep Fire in Idaho

Began July 22, 2019 about 6:30 PM near Idaho Falls, ID
In less than a day, a new fire, called the Sheep Fire (started by a lightning strike), burst across 90,000 acres in Idaho. (There's another huge one recently exploding in Arizona or the last week or more - never got real data on that one - and they're a similar longitude. Is this connected astrologically?)
The charts are quite phenomenal (except the Liblunar). Mostly, everything flows from the brand new Cansolar, though the Capsolar gets some licks in for the event.
